Julia was strolling with Yen in the lunch break while I was waiting for Ria to show up. And she’d finally showed.
“Yeah, tell me Dany. What’s the matter?” she asked.
“Ok, yesterday Bruce was at my home. My mom had invited him, showing her humanity towards strangers. But now the thing is not to be joked about as it seems he’s got to know about the book.
“So, what do you want us to do now?” she asked with a caring tone.
“Well, as we know that we are bound to limits in strength and speed. But we can outwit him with our smartness.”
“What’s the plan?” she asked in excitement. It seemed as if she was really willing to help and was energetic in doing so.
“Well, I’ll be completing the plan tonight. For now I just called you out to say that Julia isn’t the kind of girl you must be thinking, I know how she was before all this had happened. I hope --..”
“I know Dany, I have the same care for Julia now, but it’s just that she’s a Vamp-Witch!....and are you sure we’ll be able to deal with her for a long time?"
She asked, looking at Julia from the corner of her eye.
“I trust her and I’m sure there’ll be a cure for her.”
And Julia looked at me, knowing that she could hear our chats. She gave a generous smile and looked down.
“Ok, I trust you Dany for whatever you’ll do further.” She said, placing her hand on my shoulder. And I agreed to her by nodding.
At night
I’d had my dinner and thought of having a walk on the street. So I asked my mom and came out, gripping my jacket as it was cold outside.
As I was walking and thinking about a plan, a voice came from behind,
“Dany.” And I was sure that it was Julia, because she was the only girl who had such a deep voice.I turned around and saw her standing a short distance away from me. She was dressed in a blue dress with a matching blue ribbon on her hair. Her eyes sparkled more in the night time. There were no words to describe her beauty.
She slowly took steps towards me and I just kept on gazing at her. She had kept her head a bit down, avoiding an eye contact. Since when did she start acting like this, I asked myself and chuckled inside. But she looked cute in it.
“Hey Dany.” She said in a soft voice.
“Julia! Why are you here? I mean what brought to here?” I asked, lifting up her face slowly.
“Can we sit and talk for a while?” she asked.
I looked around for a place to sit and finally spotted a bench near a garden. I held her hand, it was dead cold. And we went and sat on the bench. She kept on gazing at the moon, admiring its beauty.
I kept on looking at her, feeling sad for what she had become from a simple girl. I cleared my throat to gain her attention. She looked at me slowly turning her face from the moon.
“You haven’t answered my question” I said in a soft tone. Everything was silent in the dark with just some crickets making noises which made it a perfect night.
“I was hearing the conversation between you and Ria today during today.” She said, placing her head on my shoulder. My heart just felt heavy as her head was placed on my shoulder.
“I had never expected that you would ever help me after all those incidents happened in the past.” She continued.
“Julia” I said, placing my hand on her head. “I am only helping you for the sake of getting the older Julia back. I know how it must be, being a dual and losing humanity.”
She took off her head from my shoulders gently and looked into my eyes.
“Dany, I can’t express my feelings. But seeing you helping me in such a situation makes me wonder how I would even be able to pay you back for all this.”
“You don’t need to Julia. I’ve always admired you for your inner beauty. And I’ll always be there for you whenever you’ll need me.”
“What if I ever fail you Dany?” she said. Tears filled in and the hurt was seen more clearly in her eyes.
I took her face in my hands and looked in her eyes.
“I’ve always liked you and I always will, in future. And I’m sure you’ll never make me regret for it.” I said, slowly expressing my compassionate feelings for her.
She broke into tears and placed her face on my lap. I placed my hand on her head, making her feel comfortable.
Now it was time to bring this thing to an end. I had to make sure that I could find a cure for Julia and bring back everything to normal. But wiping off Bruce was my first priority and I had to plan for it.
