It was currently 11:35 in the morning as you entered Mcqueens diner with Peter and a few family members. The weather was dull from the heavy rain on Friday, the remnants of the cold leaving splotchy patches of pink on your face. The braids that Nat did on your hair was now a little frizzy due to the humidity and your black jacket was a wrinkly mess.

Mel was at the front serving someone as she noticed a bunch of you enter her front door, giving you all a small nod of acknowledgement.

"Do I really have to do it?" Bucky whined as you all began finding a seat on the leather booths.

"Its a list of orders, Buck" You smiled lazily. "And..because you never order for us"

While you were still by Bucky's side, the others found themselves comfortable at the back of the diner.

"Uh, fine fine, take a seat" He sighed defeatedly as he walked to the small line up.

As you walked to where your group had settled, they were all huddled in, taking interest in the newspaper you noticed Steve was holding.

"Y/n, check this out!"

"Y/n, take a look at this"

You sat down on the only seat on the booth, next to Peter as Nat pushed a worn out, wrinkly newspaper towards you. Your face laced in confusion as they hurried you over to the table.

"Two mysterious young adolescents join the Avengers out to dinner!"
The headline reads.

The picture was of you and Peter, during the night you all went to shawarma.

"Jeez, why do people always talk about us like that?" You whined grumpily.

Maybe it was because you've lived with these people your whole life that you only understood one perspective. You've grown accustomed to these famous heroes. It was how normal was perceived in your eyes. However, when it comes to people other than you, they had different experiences and perceptions since they weren't born into the same environment you lived in now.

"I mean, do they seriously not see you when you leave the compound everyday?" Sam mentioned.

"Its getting risky" Steve said with a hushed tone, placing the paper down after glancing at it.

"I was always a risk, " All eyes turned to yours as you slumped down on the seat, "It's inevitable" You sighed.

"What's inevitable?" Bucky had come back from the counter with a table number.

"I'll have to start training you more" Nat mumbled as Steve agreed.

"Wait what time do I have to get up now?"
