"We found nothing so far" Tony confirmed.

You and Peter were asked to finally join a meeting, presented on a Monday afternoon, alongside a few of the avengers that lived in the compound.

"Its very difficult to trace back the steps without having to question the kid. We might have no choice but to actually speak to him directly" Nat mentioned.

"But we don't want this to seem like an interrogation" Steve said.

"But it is" You said and everyone sighed.

"Who's going to be talking to Flash?" Peter asked and all of a sudden, silence fills the rooms as all eyes moved to you.

"Oh, come on" You whined.

"Honey, your the only one that doesn't seem too suspicious. Imagine what Flash would think when one of the Avengers is suddenly taken interest in asking him very specific questions.." Tony explained.

You pondered on that thought, to think of other possible choices that were not you.

"Why can't Peter do it?"

"Y/n, remember, he knows Spiderman's identity and that could risk revealing Peter on the spot," Tony explained from across the table. "Not to mention Peter cannot lie to save a life" Tony joked.

"Hey! I-I c-can lie" Peter stuttered and everyone just giggled including you. This moment just then, proves why he wasn't a viable option for this mission. He was just so innocent in everyone's eyes it hurt.

He was just too adorable. Or maybe it was just you.

"Fine, but don't expect me to-"

An alarm sounded across the entire room, notifying the group of an issue and a mission they need to attend immediately. The alarms usually meant that it was a mission that required suit preparation but not everyone was needed. However back up is ready when necessary.

Pepper walks in abruptly, interrupting the meeting.

"There's was an attack at Fifth Avenue around 4pm, " Pepper informed with laboured breaths. "We've only been informed just now"

"Just now?!" Tony exclaimed.

"Its been two hours" Bruce mentioned.

"Alright, let's suit up and go" Nat sighed as everyone began to stand up.

"Sam, stay here and make sure those two don't leave the building!" Tony pointed at you and Peter before rushing out the door.

All the rush was making you worried and all you could do was follow your dad's orders as you had no idea what was going on. It was fair to say that you were clueless at these times as you had never experienced that alarm or even joined one of your dad's meetings.

You understand that there probably wasn't much you could do anyway. Although Nat trained you alot and the inventions you made alongside the bracelet King T'challa gave you could bring help, it wasn't yet necessary as you have yet to discover the risks that came with this current mission. If it was an attack, a collapsed bridge or even a serious robbery with heavy machinery. Not every mission might be a fight against humans or aliens but also just the world's crazy nature. You have yet to find out what attack might’ve occured in the city.

"Mr Stark─"

Peter stood up, planning to assist Tony but Sam pushed him back down.

"Gotta keep my promises, kid" Sam said with a tight lipped smile. Peter paused with a breath and nodded with a small gesture.
