"Max?", I said with surprise "what the hell are you doing here?".

"To be honest, Ro, I don't know!", he said looking scared.

"Maaaax? what's going on?", I said growing more concerned at my old friend.

"I... can we go inside and talk?", he said looking around nervously.

"I'm actually only here to grab some clothes, I'm heading to a friends house for a sleepover", I say, "you can come with me if you like? can't say they'll mind".

"Umm...," he's answered before his gaze is focused on the wall of my house, "this was a mistake, I better go...".

Before I could stop him or even say anything else, he was gone. I looked over to where he was looking before he left.

"That's weird", I say to myself, "nothing more than a spider".

I open my door and head to my room to get stuff I'll need for the sleepover.

An hour later, we all meet back at Jacks house for the sleepover. I was sitting on the sofa in Jacks living room, where the others were watching TV, I was still slightly confused and concerned about the encounter I had with my old friend. I must have shown on my face cause the next thing I remember is being pulled out of my thoughts by Finn.

"Hey, Ro you alright? you look lost!", I asked with a concerned tone.

"Umm... I don't know to be honest Finn," I said fiddling with the cuff of my pyjama shirt. "I saw Max when I went to get my stuff at my house!".

"WHAT!", my three friends said in unison that made me jump slightly. Well, maybe a lot but that's not the point.

"He was waiting at my house, about to knock the door, when I got there," I said as my three friends were staring at me.

"Uh... wha...what did he want?" Finn said nervously. Why was he nervous to ask that?

"I don't know something on the wall of my house spooked him and he ran off before he told me!", I answered, "but all I could see there was... a spider, OMG!" I said jumping up from my seat. The others jumped slightly as I did before.

"What is it ?", Jem said looking up at me from where she was sat in the sofa.

"Spider!", I said shaking her by the shoulder slightly.

"What about the creepy-crawly death dealers?", she said smirking.

"The creepy whatty what whats?", I said to her confused.

"Have you ever seen Sander Sides?", she said to me as she tilts her head to the side.

"Can't say that I have, Jem", I said before getting back to the topic at hand, "anyway, I was actually talking about more along the lines of Shadow Spider!"

"It was a spider, Ro, perhaps it was just a coincidence," said Jack looking at me sceptically.

"Perhaps your right!", I say with a sigh as I sit back down on the couch.

Earlier that day:

"Father, the person you asked me to spy on I can't do it, do you realise who she is?", I said pleading with my father.

"No, who is she, son?", my father said not amused.

"It's Robin", I said looking down at the ground.

"I'm well aware of her name, Maxwell", my father said getting annoyed.

"She's the reason mother died, she was the girl I was with when I fell out of the tree," I said while a tear rolled down my cheek.

"You're the reason your mother died son, not this girl, you need to stop blaming her," my father said strangely calm yet trying to stop himself from crying.

"But it's HER fault!", I said slightly louder than my normal tone.

"NO ITS YOUR FAULT", my father said getting up from his chair, "now leave and come back when having more information about how much this Robin knows about our plans".

"Yes, father", I say walking out of the room before my father saw me crying.

"Aghhhhh" I yelled into the sky and lent up against the wall, before sliding down to sit on the floor with my knees up to my chest.

"What do I do, what do I do!!", I say sobbing into my knees.

"I give up, he's never going to stop blaming me for mother's death, was it my fault and not Robins?" I say to myself.

"I need to talk to Robin," I say as to get up off the floor. I make my way to Robins house, hoping she lives in the same place. I reach the door and I'm about to knock but I hesitate.

What if she didn't live here anymore, I use my powers to scan to hear any thoughts to see if there's anyone inside the house. I get nothing.

I'm about to try and knock again, but that's when I hear it.

"Max?", I familiar voice says behind me. I turn around to see Robin looking at me confused or is that surprised. I can't tell.
