Chapter Twenty Five: let's be superheroes!

Robins point of view

"Helloo, anyone there??", I say into the darkness, "where am I?".

"Oh look it's just as empty inside your head as I thought it would be!", says a voice I recognise but can't quite place, "I'm behind you if your wondering!".

I turn around to see who it was talking to me, "Finn?".

"EverFear!", he snarls back at me.

"EverFear? What's that?", I ask him confused.

"My name!, I'm not Finn so I needed a new one", he says starting to walk around the empty space around us.

"Sound more like a cry for help than a name", I mumble quietly by the still hears me, I can tell by the scoff he makes.

"Oh and Flight Attendant is sooo much better!", he says back to me with a smirk.

I was my turn to scoff, " I don't go by that name all the time, I only when I'm helping people from behind my mask, otherwise my name is Robin, Ro to my friends," I say smiling at the end.

Finn carries on circling me... "where are we anyway... what is this?, last thing I remember is being in the back garden, where are the others?", I ask keeping my gaze on him the enter time.

"Whoa there Ro cal...", he starts before getting cut off.

"Robin, too you", I say crossing my arms.

"Ooo but aren't we friends?", he asks mocking offense as he puts a hand to his heart.

"Finn was my friend... not you...", I say narrowing my eye towards him.

"Fine... anyway to answer you question... questions... one we are in your mind... two this is what I like to call a fear coma... and three Jack is unconscious in the bed next to you in the same condition as you... there's another copy of me having a similar conversation with him right now... wiiiith a lot more swearing, mostly coming from Jack...", EverFear says.

"Sounds like Jack", I say with a small laugh.

"... as for Jem, I don't know, last time I saw her she was with your old friend Maxie", he says stopping his pacing.

"Max?, why would Jem be with Max?", I ask him confused.

"I do...", EverFear he says before he's interrupted.

"Hello Ro? Can you here me?", I hear a voice boom all round me like it's coming from a speaker somewhere.

"Who is that?..." I say before I recognise the voice, "Max?".

"Yep, listen to me... don't listen to whatever it is that happening to you, don't believe it...", he says like before.

"It's just Fi... EverFear... trying to intimidate me, nothing to frightening", I say smirking towards the offended ex-friend in front of me.

"Hey, I'm the living embodiment of fear, I can be terrifying... I just don't feel like it", he says with a pout.

"Yeaaaa... course you can...", I say laughing.

"I don't understand if your not afraid of him what's keeping you in your coma?", Max says confused.

"Hmm... I don't know...", I say, "wait did you say coma?".

"Yes... what else is there with you? Other than fear freak", I hear Max say.

"Nope nothing but black... hey why can't I see you like I can see EverFear", I look up for no particular reason and ask.

"Uhh... hello fear freak? I can here you ya know!!", EverFear says offended and waving his hands about.

"Yea yea... Max?", I ask seeing if he's still there.

"Sorry, it's hard trying to communicate with you and help Jem communicate with Jack at the same time... anyway to answer your question you can't see me because I'm not in your head like scarecrow is, I'm using by powers to transmit my thoughts into your head", he says sounding like he's getting tired.

But before I can respond to what he said I hear a shout, "haha!", coming from Max.

"What is it?, what happened?", I ask frantically.

"Jack's awake," he says, "Ro you we need to work out what in there is scaring you, I can't keep doing this much longer".

"But like I said it only him in here!", I shout back at him.

EverFear gives a shy wave, that reminds me a bit Finn when we first met... and that's when it dawns in me...

"Max I know what is keeping me here", I say looking at EverFear.

"It's you", I say, confusing both EverFear and Max.

"I thought you said your weren't afraid of me?", EF says with a smirk.

"I'm not... I'm afraid... that we'll never see Finn... that I'll never see him again", I say trying to hold back tears.

The blackness around us starts to brighten, and I realise I'm waking up.

"Ro!!", I hear everyone exclaim!

"Hi, gu...", I start before seeing Max, is nose was bleeding.

"OMG, Max are you ok?", I ask rushing over to him.

"Peachy!", he exclaims with a laugh, wiping the blood from his nose with his sleeve, "just never used my powers for that long before or to that extent, but I'm fine," he says with a a smile.

"I'm glad!; and thank you", I say returning his smile.

"Soooo, what now?", I turn and ask to no one in particular.

"We stop my father... and we get Finn back!", Max says looking at everyone than back at me,

"let's be superheroes!", Jem exclaims excitedly.

Sooo hi, I've had the ending for this pretty much planned from the beginning... I'll give you a clue remember those conversation with ??? That later I revealed to be the controller... that concluding to that is coming up soon within the next few chapters.

Anyway... having an awesome amazing incredible (hulk) day night week month year.
