Sophie flopped onto her bed as soon as she entered her room. Foxfire had her beat. She barely had any time for her conspiracies with all the homework she was getting, let alone time to sleep or just relax.

She stayed facedown, not ready to get up for a while. Her bed was reeeeeeally comfortable.

Sophie began to drift off to sleep, but she shook herself awake before she fully fell into unconsciousness. She let out a long sigh before flipping onto her back, preparing herself to sit up and begin her homework.

Her plans were interrupted, though, when she sat up and found Keefe Sencen sitting in her desk chair, staring at her with an amused smirk.

Sophie fell off her bed with a quiet shriek.

She lay on the ground, huffing, until a handsome face appeared above her with a lopsided smile, holding out a hand to help her up.

Sophie glared at Keefe, but took his hand.

"When did you get here?" She asked.

"I actually got here before you did," Keefe laughed. "It seems like your day didn't go so well. You doing okay?" He added, sounding a little more concerned.

Sophie smiled fondly at her boyfriend. "Yeah. Thanks." She flopped back down onto her bed in a sitting position, then continued. "It's just that I've been swamped with work lately and I haven't had much time to relax or sleep..."

Keefe frowned. "Well, that's not good, is it. We can't have our Foster get too down in the dumps, now can we," he added with a wink.

Sophie huffed out a quiet laugh and shook her head. "No, I guess not," she said while shooting a small smile at the blonde boy.

Keefe collapsed on the bed next to her with a groan. "I thought Foxfire would be easier this year, but I didn't think of the fact that I'm no longer skipping classes. How do normal elves go through this their entire school lives?" He sat up dramatically and clutched a hand over his heart. "I shall never underestimate another Foxfire alumni. Never again."

Sophie giggled and stood up. "As much as I love you, I have to start working on an Elvin history project. It's due in two days, and I've been procrastinating..." She trailed off, thinking of the loads of work still yet to be done.

Keefe sighed. "They should at least give you a little break. You know, for your 'service to our world.' You sure deserve one."

Sophie agreed as she slumped to her desk. She spread out her annotated papers and began her gruelling task. One 4-page essay and two poster boards about her least favorite subject, the human and Elvin break. Even worse, she had to use the information taught (that it was the humans' fault), vs. the facts that she learned during the time her human parents were kidnapped (that it was Vespera's fault.)

She was about 10 minutes in, complaining to herself about her rotten luck when she felt the warmth of a body drape itself over her back.

"Keefe-" Sophie began, but was cut off by a loud groan from our hunky boy as he leaned his full weight on her chair, slightly tipping it forward.
