You might laugh you might frown
Walkin' round London town
Sun is in the sky oh why oh why?
Would I wanna be anywhere else***
The evening last night went by way too quickly, enjoying the freshness of a face mask, the delicious oiled pizza we consumed, and the comedies we binged watched. My face received a work out by laughing and talking so much which has made my cheeks slightly tender this morning. If I don't have a jawline that could cut through a diamond I'm gonna be pissed.
I have found out that Gemma loves horror movies, whereas I'm not the greatest fan. So when she suggested 'The Conjuring' I shut her down completely. I'd rather sleep tonight than be up and scared of every little sound.
Harry didn't come down at all, which I wasn't complaining about, but Gemma did give him the leftover pizza, if it was up to me he could've starved up there for all I cared, but we couldn't let that happen according to Gem. Let's hope he's in a better mood today if I have to see him.
So now I'm sat at the kitchen island eating my cereal, opposite Gemma as she's telling me what there is in London and what there is to do and see. Paper is covering the whole countertop, full of popular attractions.
"So, London Eye and Madame Tussaud's would be great to do when it's raining, as they're fairly close together. We'd have to do an open-top bus as well when and if it's lovely weather because it's amazing." Gemma rambled as she wrote a list. I chuckled at her enthusiasm and then she gasps, slamming her hand on the counter. My eyes widened a little surprised by her action. "Harrods. I have to take you to Har-" Gemma excitedly announces until my phone starting going off, indicating a FaceTime call.
Cal
I apologized to Gemma who waved at me, signally to answer as she went back to sorting our plans for the week. I nodded and answered, holding the phone up so the camera is on me.
"Hey ba-" I smiled as his face appeared on my screen before he interrupts me. He looks like he's about to explode if he appeared in a cartoon there would be steam coming out of his ears.
"Why has it taken you until now to answer my call? You could've been killed, you were meeting someone you didn't know without me and I was worried sick." He vented, making me widen my eyes and look at Gemma who was looking down at her notepad awkwardly, not writing anything. "So is it who you thought it was? Or is it a creepy old man who wants to make you his sugar baby?"
I rolled my eyes, not even caring if he sees. My adrenaline was so high yesterday that the last thing on my mind was to phone Callum and put a down on my mood. And my phone died and I may have forgotten to charge it.
"Plus I've had a bollocking at work for doing a shit story. Which just puts the cherry on top of all my problems which is mostly caused by you. So the least you can do Jordan is let me know you got to the place you're staying okay. Do you hear me?" He snaps, yelling over the phone which made me have to turn down my volume quickly while guilt begins to bubble through me. I did not want to deal with this right now, especially not on my first full day here.
"Whatever Callum." I bluntly state and hung up before he can respond, maybe that wasn't the best way to deal with the situation but it's over and done with now. I put my phone calmly on the counter and smiled at Gemma who has a raised eyebrow. I feel slightly embarrassed that she witnessed that and I just hope she doesn't ask any questions, I can't be dealing with the waterworks whilst I'm here. I've cried too much after our last argument and this was supposed to be a happy trip so no crying was allowed, unless it was from laughter.
