Cause every time I open up, it hurts
So I'm never gonna get too close to you***
I was intrigued, to say the least. I have always wondered what being a celebrity is like and now here I am sat next to one.
"What do you want to know?" He questions before a million thoughts enter my head at once.
What don't I want to know would be an easier question.
I notice Harry roll grin as he bumps his shoulder with me "And don't you be sarcastic with me now," he finished, crossing his arms. I huff but nodded anyway. "I heard you singing last night, how do you get inspiration for your songs?" I ask, playing with the end of my scarf as Harry looked a bit confused. This question had always interested me, how do writers write? and after last night I was increasingly curious.
"Um, just life events really. What I've been through or how I feel at that moment." He tells me and I'm surprised he was actually sincere and not sarcastic.
So he can write songs just like that? Bloody hell if I had that skill I could write shit loads of songs with everything I've been through or thought.
"Oh really? Did you write when you were in One Direction as well?" I ask as he nodded. "Let me know if I'm prying too much, I'm just making conversation." I spiel.
"It's fine. It's kind of refreshing that someone doesn't actually know me. but don't forget you owe me at least one question" He admitted, leaning back on his hands and looking out on the horizon. "Yeah, I wrote with One Direction. It wasn't until the last few years we realised, we wanted our own sound and when we released the first album we did write most songs then we just got so big."
"How come you all went on a Hiatus? Weren't you boys at your peak?" I ask as he nodded.
"Yeah but I think we all needed to actually do things on our own. Ever since I was 16, I've been traveling with the boys up until last year, now I'm doing things for myself and writing my music. I don't have to see if anyone else likes it, it's me and my music."
I nodded, understanding what he means to some extent. "This is the first time I've actually traveled by myself, been on a plane by myself. I've always only traveled with Callum."
"Why are you with him?" Harry asks out of the blue, which made me look at him with surprise.
It's not really any of his business who I choose to spend my time with.
"I don't want to talk about it." I affirm, as I watch ripples form in the water.
"This is my one question." He pryes and I can't help but to sigh loudly, I can't expect to learn so much and not give anything away.
"I love him, and deep down he's still the Callum I fell in love with. I just make him angry and moody." I shrugged, not really wanting to get into this conversation. "When I go back he'll be fine, he just gets protective of me being away, I've never travelled on my own before so I get where he's coming from."
"So are you from Cornwall? What do you do?" He asks as I smile. I've always loved my home county, I'm from a place where people go on holiday, where people get away from their everyday lives and enjoy the relaxing sights of Cornwall.
"What happened to just one question?" I laugh and he shuffles back obviously not realising he was asking so much. Before he can say anything I am talking again.
"It's fine it's only fair I answer as well, Yes, born and raised in Cornwall. I work as a receptionist in a hotel." I grinned as he smiled back. It looked like he was studying my face as I carried on rambling. "I work in a 4- star hotel, we get so busy it's ridiculous. This is the only time of year where we're really quiet so Gemma called me at the right time."
