Now there's gravel in our voices
Glass is shattered from the fight
In this tug of war you'll always win
Even when I'm right***
I awoke the next morning with the sun shining through my window, again. I groan loudly as I pulled the duvet over my head. I seriously need to remember to shut my curtains, I can't keep getting woken up by the bloody sun.
I grabbed my phone from the bedside table and opened my phone to see a message from Gemma.
Oh no.
This is it.
This is where she tells me she never wants to hear from me again, to delete her number, or else she's going to block me and forget about the week we just had and the years of letters before.
I felt numb with fear, I wouldn't know what I'd do if she sent me a horrible text saying that she never wants to see me again. I hover my fingers over the message and with shaky fingers click it.
From: Gemma
Glad you got home okay! Missing you already! FaceTime me later? Also, I hope work goes quickly! X
I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding.
Harry hasn't said anything? That surprises me with how he was yesterday. However that just makes me feel worst, do I tell her? I start to get panicky thinking about yesterday's events so instead of lounging in bed all day feeling sorry for myself, I get up and shower, ready for the day.
Once I was changed, I messaged Callum just to say I was back early, I'm sure he will be very pleased with that.
I went out to do a small food shop, due to having absolutely nothing in the flat, but I mostly bought junk food due to shopping hungry. And feeling very sorry for myself.
Once I got back I nearly fainted at the sight in front of me as I dropped my bag of shopping by the front door. Callum was in my flat, with fresh flowers in the vase and a box of chocolate beside it.
"Hey doll," he smiled, walking up to me and giving me a kiss before continuing. "How was your trip?" I'm sure I stood there confused for at least 30 seconds but my heart instantly warmed to see Cal back.
They say absence makes the heart grows fonder and now I guess it's true and I was definitely appreciative of it.
"Amazing, Gemma showed me Madam Tussaud's, Harrods, the London Eye." I started, as Callum nodded. "Oh and we went on the London Bus that takes you around all the landmarks. It's amazing. I think I love it more than Cornwall." I admitted, excitedly. He laughed as my childlike ways.
"Well, as you love it so much shall we have a weekend trip there for our anniversary in August?" Callum suggested as I gave him a big toothy smile.
"Wait, really?"
"Of course, I want the best for my girl." Callum smiles before he pulls me into his chest and kisses me on my forehead
Callum has actually suggested doing something that I love? We're actually going to London! Instead of Barbados, which he loves to just sit on the beach and do nothing. That's the one thing with Callum, he hates sightseeing. Whereas I love learning about the history of buildings, as well as the cultures of the places.
"I'm off out with the work lot tonight, do you mind if I stay here?" He asks as I looked at him confused. When has he ever asked to stay here? I nodded, unable to get words out. "Shall we celebrate a great holiday and the fact you're back?" Callum smirked, before pressing his lips to my neck.
