Harry woke up on the right side of the bed this morning, which has really shocked me as it feels as though I have been walking on eggshells around him since our argument, which frankly, didn't even need to happen. I came down the next morning and Gemma was sitting at the island, writing in a notebook as Harry was cooking pancakes.
"I hope you don't mind Jordan, I had to put some washing on so I put yours in the tumble dryer," Harry asked, I nodded. I honestly stopped caring about what he thought after last night. He saw my underwear, and probably had a good laugh whilst doing it. "Pancakes?"
I did feel slightly guilty after what I said last night, I mean it wasn't fair at all to blame him for Callum's actions, although he didn't say many nice things either. Maybe that's the problem... we say what we have to say in anger and spite and never sincerely.
I nodded, as I sat next to Gemma who was too busy writing to even notice I came down. I left her too it as it looked important. Harry placed a few pancakes in front of me with condiments of Jam, Nutella, Marmalade, strawberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, and sugar. I have to admit, they looked amazing although I didn't even want to look at Harry in the eyes let alone talk to him today especially not about his orgasmic looking pancakes. Like seriously who has all this stuff ??
"Sorry Jord I just had to write a shopping list before I forget something." Gemma laughed, as a plate of pancakes appeared in front of her. "Thank you, my favourite brother." Gemma gave him a toothy grin.
See, I knew what she was writing was important.
Harry rolled his eyes playfully and took a seat opposite Gemma, and raised an eyebrow, "I'm your only brother."
"Exactly, which means you're the favourite." Gemma argued like its the most obvious thing in the world. I chuckled softly, spreading Nutella on a pancake. "What did you want to do today?" Gemma asks me, before stuffing her face with a mouthful of pancake. I shrugged with a mouthful myself but before I could reply Harry interrupted.
"I actually need an opinion on a song I'm writing. Would you two help, or just listen to it to see if it sounds okay?" Harry asked shyly, which made me surprised. Has someone kidnapped Harry from last night and replaced him with this lovely shy one? either that or he had a terrible accident before he went to bed and lost his memory.
Come to think of it that wouldn't actually be such a bad thing.
"Yes! I wanna hear what you've been working on." Gemma says excitedly as Harry smiled whilst taking a bite of his pancake.
After some small talk whilst eating our breakfast, Gemma put the dishes in the dishwasher and as Harry went to get his guitar and songbook we made ourselves comfy in the living room.
"You heard Sign of the Times, but hearing Harry sing brand new music just hits differently. It's raw and you can hear the nervousness when he's unsure." Gemma told me excitedly.
Gemmas and Harry's relationship is adorable, they were so close it's amazing. You wouldn't think Harry is three years younger, you'd think they were the same age or maybe a year difference but it makes me wish that I had a sibling to have that bond with, maybe I wouldn't have felt so alone.
Harry came down with his guitar and songbook and sat on the chair getting comfy strumming the guitar a few times. "It's rough at the moment so bear with me." He warns us nervously.
I was actually really excited for this. I don't think many people get to have this opportunity and I have always been curious at how a song is composed and although it was Harry, I did have to admit he had a pretty good voice.
