Chapter 64 The Night Calls

Carina walked into Maya's office, "I too love my dad very much, he's...brilliant, he's....funny, he's...my hero in so many ways, but that's why it took me so long to realize he wasn't okay, he wasn't normal it made me realize you can't live your life on eggshells" Carina explained turning Maya to face her as Maya had tears.

"Denial is a strong force and the abuse your mom described outside is still abuse" Carina stated, "I'M NOT IN DENIAL!" Maya raised her voice. "I won a gold medal because of my dad, I am the youngest fire captain in Seattle, and Station 19's first female captain because of my dad, I'm not in denial, I am pissed" Maya stated. Carina got up and slowly walked out of Maya's office.

Sullivan leaned near Andy, "Dixon knows" Sullivan whispered, "Knows what?" Andy asked, "All of it the marriage, the drugs and it's all over and no one loses their jobs" Sullivan stated. "Are you serious?" Andy asked not believing Sullivan. "And he approved of your father's line of duty funeral" Sullivan revealed.

"That's amazing" Andy smiled, Sullivan came closer, "I want to be able to kiss my wife in public" Sullivan whispered. "we're not in public we're at work" Andy replied, "I think it's time Andy we tell everyone" Sullivan stated turning around. Andy eyes widened surprised, "EVERYBODY!!!" Sullivan shouted.

Everyone looked at Sullivan, Jack, Dean, Travis, Emmett, and Parker all sat at the same table looking at Sullivan. "I-I just want to let you know that thanks to you we won, we got the funding for Captain Pruitt Herrera's line of duty funeral" Sullivan announced. Everyone started clapping hearing the news, Dean and Vic high fived and the others cheered. 

Andy tried to walk away but Sullivan grabbed her and brought her close, "And um one more announcement while I have you here" Sullivan started. Warren knew where this was going but everyone looked confused. "I would like to say publically, that I love this woman and I love her so much I married her, and this is kinda our wedding reception" Sullivan announced. Andy and Sullivan hugged and kissed and everyone clapped but the crew was shocked.

Emmett looked at Travis as they clapped and Vic was shocked, "This Station does get wilder every shift" Parker commented as he clapped. Dean punched him in the arm, "Ow!" Parker replied rubbing his arm. Andy and Sullivan smiled as everyone contiued to eat the night away.

A Few Hours Later...

The Crew of Station 19 were cleaning up the dishes and tables as the dinner was over, "Anyone else still shocked?" Travis asked. "Yup" Vic replied, "Yeah" Emmett commented as they were all cleaning up. Parker looked at his watch, "We still have 5 hours till the shift ends" Parker sighed, "Gotta love 24-hour shifts" Dean commented. 

"So Probie where were you?" Jack asked, "What do you mean?" Emmett asked, "After you came out the building I didn't see you come in" Jack pointed out. "I thought Probie was on triage because that's where I saw him" Vic commented. Emmett looked at Travis but Travis ignored contact and Parker noticed.

"I-I-I" Emmett stuttered unsure how to answer, 

*Beep*

Dispatch P.O.V

Medical Response For Aid Car 19 on 962 Glendale North

"Who's on Aid Car?" Jack asked, "Parker got up, "Montgomery and Dixon and I" Parker explained. Travis and Emmett looked at each other and ran to the Aid Car, "Have fun cleaning" Parker told Dean before running away.

Travis was driving, Parker was in the passenger seat and Emmett was in the back, "Wow it is real quiet in here" Parker said out loud trying to start a conversation. Emmett and Travis were quiet as Travis contiued to drive. "I know about the two of you" Parker blurted out, "What?" Emmett questioned, Travis gave Parker a disapproving look.

"Well, that's one way to make you guys talk" Parker stated, "What do you mean?" Emmett questioned. "Oh come on Emmett, the looks you give each other, the times you ignore each other, you're paired together like all the time unless that's just a coincidence, plus I saw you walk out the showers after Travis was in there" Parker explained.

Emmett paused and was quiet, "Nothing you want to say Travis?" Parker asked, "I'm busy driving" Travis replied. Parker rolled his eyes putting the headset on, "Dispatch can I get confirmation of the address again because I don't see our Vic" Parker reported.

Emmett looked at the window and his eyes widened, "Parker" Emmett called, "Hold on Emmett" Parker told Emmett. "CRASH!" Emmett shouted, Parker and Travis looked to their right and saw a pickup truck crashed into a gas station.

"Montgomery get the gurney, Dixon medkit and both of you meet me in the store" Parker ordered as they got out the aid car. "Seattle FD anyone in here" Parker called as he could see the driver's head was on the wheel and all he could hear was the horn.  Parker looked and saw someone under the truck and someone behind the counter with parts of the window in their leg. Emmett and Travis ran in and stopped seeing everything, "Montgomery check the person under the car, Dixon you're on driver, I'll talk to the guy behind the counter" Parker ordered.

Emmett shook his head and took a breath in and then out and went to the driver but once he opened the door the car tipped and almost crushed the guys head under the car. "WAIT!!!" Travis shouted. "Parker, if we get in the car we'll crush the victim," Travis reported,"Work with Dixon and pull him out slowly then deal with the driver" Parker ordered as he shined a light in the guys eye.

"Hey I'm Lieutenant Parker with the Seattle Fire Department do you know where you are?" Parker asked. "Yeah, I'm in my Gas Station, my names Bill I called 911" Bill explained, "That's good Bill, but whatever you do don't move your leg" Parker explained.

"Why?" Bill asked, "You have glass in your leg moving could cut and cause a massive bleed we can't afford to have. Parker grabbed his radio, "Dispatch this is Aid Car 19 we have 3 victims one with glass shards in his leg, one with severe head trauma, and One got hit by the car, broken bones internal bleeding, requesting 2 additional Aid Cars and PRT 19 to my location" Lieutenant Parker stated.

"Sorry Parker PRT 19 is on a call with ladder 19 and Engine 19 at a structure fire, additional aid cars will be a while" The Dispatch operator explained. "How long?" Parker asked, "ETA 8 Minutes out" The Dispatch operator explained. Parker hung up, "Montgomery! Dixon! we have to hold out for 8 Minutes do your best and talk to me if there is a problem" Parker called as the 3 of them worked.
