Chapter 77 Patrol

Parker could hear his alarm go off and he saw it was 3:30 in the morning, "Happy Thursday" Parker yawned to himself as he got up. 

Maya was in bed with Carina and they smiled, "We should get ready" Carina suggested as they both had to work today.

Andy and Sullivan were up already both getting ready for work, Andy was brushing her teeth as Sullivan was getting his uniform on.

Emmett P.O.V

My head was hurting this morning, last night was a blur all I remember is Alysha leaving and I had a panic attack and I hit the ground and everything went black. Then I saw Travis and Parker in my house and I was surprised to see Travis holding me like that and then don't remember what happened after that.

Emmett turned and his eyes widened seeing Travis in bed with him, "Did he stay overnight?" Emmett asked in his head. Emmett smiled and just went back to sleep because it was his day off today.

Andy walked upstairs to the Beanery seeing Vic and Parker eating breakfast and having Coffee, "Morning" Andy greeted. Vic and Parker waved as Andy joined them, "Ready for another shift?" Andy asked. "Ready as I'll ever be" Parker replied, "Agreed" Vic added as they were all eating together. Maya came up and looked at the table, "Morning crew, Parker and Hughes you're on Aid Car Patrol today" Maya ordered.

"Patrol?" They asked, "Sullivan got word that Chief Dixon wants to continue the Patrols" Maya explained. "Isn't patroling a PD thing?" Parker asked, "Well yes, but Aid Cars could help save our community" Maya explained before grabbing a cup of coffee and heading back down to her office. "We all know he just wants to look good right?" Vic asked, "Yup" Parker replied, "Chief Dixon does love good PR" Andy added.

*Beep*

Aid Car 19 For Patrol Route North on Selment Road...

Parker and Vic looked at each other, "Let the fun begin" Parker stated as they got up heading to the Aid Car.

Vic was driving the Aid Car as Parker looked out the window, "Who knew the Fire Department would be doing Patrols" Parker commented. "Like Chief Dixon said, he's shaping the Fire Department to new levels" Vic mocked Chief Dixon. "Yeah, I call bullshit" Parker replied as Vic and Parker laughed as they mocked Chief Dixon.

"Are we really going to find anything out here this neighborhood is a ghost town" Vic commented. "I don't know, but of course we get sent to the lowest populated place in Seattle" Parker stated as Vic contiued to drive. As Vic was driving they saw a flare shoot up into the sky and explode. Vic looked at Parker, "Ever see something like that before?" Vic asked, "A Flare, out here, that can't be good" Parker stated as Vic started driving towards the location the flare shot from.

Vic and Parker were closing in and their eyes widened, "Oh shit" Parker cursed as they reached the scene. Vic quickly got out to get a medkit and a gurney as Parker went on the radio, "Dispatch this is Aid Car 19, We have a victim impaled by a stop sigh with massive blood loss requesting PRT 19 to our location" Parker reported. "HELP MY SON PLEASE!!!" The Woman screamed.

"Hughes, check the Kid, I'll talk to the family" Parker ordered, The woman was crying as her husband and daughter cried as well. "Excuse I am Lieutenant Parker with the Seattle Fire Department do any of you have injuries?" Parker asked. "N-No just my son, please save him" The Mom cried. "Save him please" The Father begged, "Calm down okay, I can assure you we will do our best but I need to know what happened" Parker explained.

The Parents looked at the teenage girl, "What's your name?" Parker asked the family, "I'm Raquel, this is my husband, Mark, my daughter, Jess, and my son Matt" Raquel explained. "Okay Raquel, please tell me what happened" Parker requested. Jess looked at Parker, "It happened because of me" Jess cried. Parker looked at the girl putting his hand on her shoulder, "I won't judge you, just tell me what happened" Parker said softly.

"M-Me and My B-Brother were trying to make a Tik-Tok, we used that teeter-totter and when he sat on one side I would drop a rock from the roof and send him flying as a joke" Jess explained. "It's a horrible joke" Mark commented, "Mark" Raquel called, Jess looked at Parker with tears, "But it was a joke I wasn't actually going to drop it, but it slipped and it sent him into the stop sign and it fell on him and impaled him" Jess cried. Parker hugged the girl and patted her on the back, "It's okay" Parker said. 

Parker let go, "I need to do my job please stay here" Parker advised as he walked over to Vic, "How bad is it?" Parker asked. "Concussion, and the sign is stuck impaling his left thigh and he's lost a lot of blood" Vic explained. "We keep it in him, it will stop any major bleeding but we stabilize him until PRT arrives" Parker explained. "PRT? Aid Cars would be quicker" Vic pointed out, "I know that Hughes but we risk chances of bleeds if we move him and we can't risk that, PRT is our best shot" Parker explained.

Vic was connecting the Machine and as Parker was trying to work they heard Vehicles pulling up and they looked and saw news vans. "What the hell" Parker stated as they were taking pictures of the scene. "Lieutenant Parker, Lieutenant Parker a word" The news reporters called, Parker ignored them as he worked. But Parker was getting distracted hearing how they were bugging the family and taking pictures. "Is that your son?" "What are your thoughts?" "Did you call 911?" "How did this happen?" The reporters asked.

Parker looked at Vic, "Keep him steady and call me if anything changes" Parker ordered, "What are you going to do?" Vic asked. "I'm getting rid of the news" Parker answered getting up.
