We walk into a room that sort of looks like a hospital, with beds, curtain dividers, monitors, even tables with some sort of liquid medication and needles. In a separate room there are showers, so we go there first.
Once I am showered and in fresh clothes, I am looked over by a nurse. She checks my body for wounds. Of course, I don't really have any, only a few scratches from my knives coming in contact with my skin. My weapons however, were taken from me, and I have no idea where they are now.
I look over at the other people in the room. Some are getting a check up, like me. Others are getting a needle, and some are hooked up to monitors. "What are they planning for us here?" I wonder. "And why don't I feel safe?"

I sit in a cafeteria full of other kids my age. They have all apparently been in other mazes too. It never really occurred to me that there would be other mazes, full of other kids like us. Our group stays together though, at one table. I briefly glance up at Newt, who is sitting across from me. I catch his eye, without meaning to. I quickly look back down at my food, feeling my face heat up a little.
As we are eating, Mr. Janson walks into the room. He pulls out a clipboard and starts reading off names. Luckily, he doesn't call any of us, but all the people who are called are told to stand up at the front. Apparently, they are going to go off to a better place. To me, that sounds like they are going to kill them off, and that better place is heaven. But maybe that's just me, and my apparently morbid train of thought.
I notice that Thomas is staring intently at the window, where it looks off into a hallway. I follow his gaze, and realize that Teresa is with that group. He then stands up and makes his way over to the door. However, he is stopped by a guard, who looks like he is trying to convince Thomas to go away. "What the bloody hell is he doing?" I hear Newt mutter to himself. A few moments pass, then Thomas finally comes back. "What was that all about?" I ask. Thomas shakes his head angrily. "They're apparently taking her to be tested some more. I don't know if I entirely trust or believe that." "I don't think you should worry too much about it. These people saved us, we have no reason not to trust them." Newt reasons. Thomas still looks doubtful, but he doesn't say anything else.
"I was right then. Newt does trust this place." I feel a pang of disappointment, but I shove it away. "He's right though. They saved us, gave us new clothes, and food. So they must be good, right?"

Our group walks the halls of the building. I'm assuming we are getting shown to our room. However, at an intersection, one of the staff that is showing us the way, starts leading just me down another hallway. I look back at the group, and see Newt staring at me. "Where are we going?" I ask. "I'm putting you with some other girls from a different maze." She tells me. "Why can't I stay with them?" I ask again, feeling disappointment crash over me. "The rooms are organized by gender, not maze." She says. I look down at the ground, feeling worried about what might happen since I am now separated from the group.
We finally make it to a thick metal door, that looks a lot like the other thick metal doors in the hallways. She opens it, and I step inside. The interior of the room looks a lot like something you would see in a cabin, with bunk beds lining the walls. Except it is metallic here, not wooden. I glance nervously around at the other girls, who look a little confused as to why I am here. I then walk over to one of the empty beds that is close to the door, and lay down. "I really wish Teresa is here right now, so I'm not alone." I think to myself gloomily. "I just want to be around someone I know that I can trust."
