|Deku stepped up, his nervousness getting the better of him as he stumbled into the circle. As we passed each other I gave him a wide smile and two thumbs up, "you got it." He nodded nervously, I looked at Kacchan his glare never leaving Deku. "You're kidding right? This quirkless loser doesn't stand a chance," he leaned closer to me. "You'll see, I heard he did amazing in the entrance exam," I looked over at him, his glare getting colder. He scoffed, I watched him before hearing Deku squeal, my mouth falling slightly open at the sight.
The ball...didn't go anywhere
That's when I noticed, Mr. Aizawa had his hair sticking up and his eyes glowing red. I felt my body tense, ready to run up and help before I saw him release Deku, his head hanging low. He turned back looking at the ball, this time shooting up the ball far. I smiled, "atta boy," I looked over, Kacchan's face showing complete shock before he began to run towards Deku. "Kacchan! Wait!" I demanded, running after him as Mr. Aizawa stopped him. "Stand down now!" I looked at our teacher my mind getting a sense of déjà vu, Aizawa Shota...
I was brought out of my thoughts when I heard Ururaka asking Deku about his finger, Kacchan turned away from everyone. I glanced at him one last time before jogging over to Deku again.
"I have your results, I don't want to go by individually so I'll just show you the whole list. I assume everyone has a pretty good understanding of where they are," our teacher pressed a button showing us our results. My place was below Kacchan, fourth overall but I wasn't worried for me, I continued to scan looking for Deku. I looked over at him, his eyes shut. "Oh and I was lying, no one is going home. Just a rational deception to make you try harder," I sighed, relief engulfing my body, I looked over to Todoroki his eyes set on the hologrammed list, I walked over waving for his attention, "it seems you beat me again." He looked at me from the corner of his eyes, quickly turning away and walking without uttering a word. "So mean," I rolled my eyes, heading back to my newfound group of friends.
Deku and I both began walking home, Tenya joining us talking to Deku about the first day tests Ururaka joining us as well. Stopping to wait for her, she smiled naming us off, "let's see..Iida, Deku, and...princess?" She asked, I raised my eyebrows slightly. "Actually, I'm Izuku," Deku spoke up, "but I heard Bakugo call you Deku and you princess." I remained silent, "actually that's just what Kacchan calls me to make fun of me." "Oh, I'm sorry, I kinda liked Deku, it makes for a good hero name," I smiled at her, "agreed, you can call me Kana by the way," I extended my hand towards her, flashing her a sweet smile.
"Woah..I see why Bakugo calls you princess," she said, looking at me in awe. I shook my head, "I'm far from it, I swear." Deku looked at her, his face increasingly growing red. "Deku it is," I heard Deku shout, I laughed as Iida began scolding, "is it not an insult at all? I mean even Kana calls you that," he waved his arms.
At least he's making friends. I thought, the smile on my face growing wider as we all began heading home.

The class stared blankly at the door, their eyes lighting up at the sight of our number one hero entering. "I am here!" He shouted, stiffly walking towards the front of the room. "Today's lesson shall be to battle!" He continued, cover his face slightly. "So awesome," I heard someone say, "can you believe we're being taught by All Might himself?" A certain redhead smiled.
"How cool is that? We're doing combat training," Deku smiled, his excitement practically oozing out his body. "Before we get to any of that however these shall be your costumes! These were made after your request forms were filed and sent it before coming to school!" All Might bellowed, a hearty laugh leaving his body. "Costumes!!" Both Deku and I smiled at each other.
We all gathered at the training area, dressed in our costumes and hyped up for the training. Deku wore the costume aunty made for him, "you're so obvious," I said to him, giggling as I did so. He only scratched the back of his head and smiled, "wow, your hero suit looks great, I didn't expect you to pick something like that." I looked down at my costume, "Niether did I, I thought I wouldn't like it but it's growing on me." I gave him a wide smile as I twirled, the skirt of my costume lifting slightly.
I stopped when I noticed some of the boys staring, "looks like you aren't the only one that likes your costume," Deku chuckled as he pointed at the group of boys. "Yeah, I guess not. But then again, all those boys ever do is stare and compare the girls," I pouted, sticking my tongue out at the set of three boys. "Well, you're not wrong," Deku laughed before looking at the entrance of the training gym. The class stared at the entrance, engulfed in the sight of All Might flexing as he made his way towards us.
"Keep in mind, young people! You are all now heroes in training!"
