|I sat up calmly, taking in a short breath as the doors to my hospital room opened. "Hello, my sweet daughter," I heard my fathers voice echo through the room. I remained quiet as he closed the door and stepped towards me, "hello sir," I managed to say.
He walked passed me and towards the windows, seemingly staring down at the buildings surrounding my window view. "How are you doing, darling?"
His eyes squinted as he turned towards me, he gave me no chance to respond as he suddenly grabbed at my throat lifting me slightly off the bed. His thumb nail beginning to dig itself into the skin of my cheek, in a small panic I grabbed at his hand attempting to pry it with my one un-bandaged arm. "Do you realize what you've done? What do you think this kind of press will do for your mother and I's reputation?" He growled out, his eyes showing nothing but coldness.
I felt the sting of tears as they began to pool at the brims of my eyes, my hand continued to try and pry my fathers off before he threw me back at the backboard of the hospital bed. He fixed his sleeves, a look of disgust flashed over his features as I gasped for air feeling the small trickle of blood falling down my cheek from his nail. "You would've been better off getting killed by that hero killer or whatever," he said. I stared at him in a glare, my hand on my throat.
I think so too...
My father opened his mouth to say something else but was interrupted by the door opening, "I'm coming in," Ai-Chan's familiar voice said. He walked in and closed the door behind him, making direct eye contact with my father then looking down at me as I wiped away the tears.
"Aizawa Shota," my father grinned, his hand coming up to adjust his tie. Ai-chan squinted slightly before bowing his head, "Akito," he greeted. "I had no idea you still kept up with Kana, after...well you know," he continued, a subtle smirk forming on his face. I cleared my throat, "father, Ai-ch...Mr. Aizawa is my teacher in the hero course." My father glared at me before turning to Ai-chan, "I see, I always did think you'd do well in life, Shota," my father said as he began walking out of my room.
"Kana, we'll be speaking soon," my father said his eyes turning cold once again. "Yes sir," I said as he finally shut the door, my attention now focusing on Ai-chan. He took a moment to stare at the door before looking at me again. His eyes fell on my neck as it began bruising from the earlier assault, "I see Akito hasn't changed." I sighed, "what are you doing here?" I questioned, averting my gaze to the window. "I came to check on you, what else?" Ai-chan replied, "you're lucky this incident wasn't any worse than what it was, luckily, Midoriya, Iida, and Todoroki are going to be fine."
"We also worked it out with the chief of police for Stain's capture. To save you from punishment, Endeavor will be taking credit for it."
I nodded as I slowly attempted to get up from the bed, "I see, that's good. Are the others okay?" "They're fine," Ai-chan nodded, "good so I'll go see them," I mumbled as I began to try to walk to the door, the tears slowly coming back as I reached it. My hand covered my mouth as I chocked back a sob, the anxiety of my father's visit finally coming out as Ai-chan made his way to me. His hands grasping at my shoulders as I slumped, "you always were sensitive in front of your sister and me," he said as he slowly carried me back to the bed.
I buried my face in his shirt as I began sobbing louder, as if I was a child. "I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner," was all Ai-chan said as he rubbed my back in a soothing way, for the remainder of that day he stayed in the hospital room with me just as I had with him previously.
