"They have always been there for me..."
Those words echoed in my mind, her expression slowly changing as the battle between her two friends ensued. I stared intently at her, "you did it Deku...I'm so glad."
"What? What is it?" She locked into my gaze, I felt myself lose some composure. "Nothing! let's go already," I mumbled, covering my face.
what was that? I jogged just behind her, both of us stopping at the entrance and examining the blue prints of the building.
"We're kind of at a disadvantage here, we're against Ashido-san and Kaminari-kun."
"Why do you say that?" I asked her, she pointed at the top of the building. "Let's assume they're on the top floor, your ice can easily reach but wouldn't do much for Kaminari-kun he manipulates electricity right? Even though your ice is a poor conductor of electricity we can't ignore the fact he could potentially electrocute us. We don't know the full extent of his quirk either," she paused looking back at the blue prints, "Ashido-san has a quirk that allows her to excrete acids from her hands and feet, immobilizing her is going to probably need to be done first. If we don't catch her by surprise, she might end up melting through your ice or anything we do." She tapped her forehead a few times before looking at me, "I think I can maybe immobilize Ashido-san...mmm do you think you can handle Kaminari-kun? I think if you maybe freeze his whole body with the exception his face we could win this. But just don't touch whatever he touches."
I nodded, completely shocked at her well thought out plan. "How did you come up with all of that?" She looked up at me, a small smile on her face, "well, you learn to pick up on things when one of your best friends is sort of a mumbling genius." She put on her red tinted goggles and took in a quick breath, she smiled at me one more time before beginning to walk into the building. "You can just leave this to me," I said as I followed suit, I allowed a frost to envelop the whole building. The thin coat of ice slowly fogging up the building, "hmm, now they know were here but I don't think they'll attack." I agreed and continued to walk, our spots switching as I continued to coat the building in more frost. As we were about to turn the corner, I felt a small hand on my shoulder, "what—" she cut me off, her other hand placing her index finger on her lips in a shushing motion. She pointed for me to peak the corner, to my surprise there was the weapon and our opponents. I looked back at Kana, her shallow breaths visible as she motioned for me to back up. Curios, I obliged and watched as she cupped her hands around her mouth, exhaling slowly. A cold mist began to surround us, slowly fogging up our vision.
Is she doing that? How? "what the...Kaminari," I heard Ashido say as Kana motioned for me to create more frost. I nodded and created more, the cool air stinging my skin slightly. "I'll go for Ashido-san. Remember, don't let your ice touch the weapon just yet." I nodded and watched her as she created more cover for us. Amazing...
I heard Ashido squeal and without hesitation I blocked off Kaminari invading his body. I heard him grunt, "Nice," I heard Kana call from a little further up, the fog dispersing into a medium sized bubble of water, using that she motioned for me to lift the bomb. With my foot, I lifted the bomb with ice upward towards the roof. The water Kana had keeping it steady as I created a platform beneath it. I looked over at Ashido, shocked, she was encased inside a pyramid made from dirt?
"Ahh, no way. They beat us so easily," Ashido sighed. Kana giggled, her demeanor changing slightly as she walked over to her. "Sorry to jump on you like that," she smiled, she straightened her body, her hands extending above her head just before she brought them down with her palms facing down. The pyramid encasing Ashido disappearing within the floor. "Hey! What about me!?" I heard Kaminari say, I looked towards him, lifting my hand to melt the ice. I didn't say anything, just listened as Kaminari and Ashido made jokes and complimented us both.
"Team B: Heroes are victorious," All Might announced. As we were walking I grabbed Kana, she turned back with a puzzled look, "what's your quirk?" I asked. "A bit direct, no?" She chuckled slightly before looking at me again.
"It's a secret," she smiled, before running out of the building. "A secret?" I mumbled to myself, I was pulled out of my thoughts by the sound of All Might. "Great job! Team B, you did very well in working together!"
"You did really good!" I heard Kirishima yell, "thank you! But I have to check on Deku. Sorry all might!" I heard Kana's voice yell as the golden white silhouette of her costume became smaller and smaller. "She's amazing! I had no idea she was even there," Ashido sighed, before turning to me and smiling, "Todoroki-kun? How did you create that steam or fog...whatever it was," she asked. "I didn't, she did that," I said as we continued to walk back to the surveillance area.
Secret...why is it a secret?
