|I sat at the edge of my seat watching as Todoroki began bombarding Deku with ice just as he had with me. "Amazing!" Sero stared in awe.
"That's so unfair, how is it that Todoroki, Bakugo and even Kana are able to go without any breaks,"
"It's not that easy," I said, Bakugo growled, "shaddup! It really isn't." "If you over use your muscle you risk tearing them apart. Quirks are the same. There's a limit to the power each person can produce," I whistled, "wow, I always love it when you talk smart."
"Shut up!" That's when we heard Deku yell, his right arm now broken. I stiffened, Todoroki had frost covering him once again, Deku had his arms limp and his fingers all broken. I stood from my seat, Kacchan grabbing onto the back of my shirt so I wouldn't fall over the ledge. "You're gonna fall! Damn idiot!" I felt my body freeze as I listened to their conversation.
"What? So you want my fire too?" Todoroki said bitterly, "did my old man bribe you both?"
Kacchan pulled me back as he also listened, we both perked as Todoroki began to run towards Deku. His movements completely slower than what they had been before. Is he reaching a limit? He didn't fight me this slowly.
Deku pulled his arm back striking Todoroki once he had jumped onto the air, my eyes widened slightly as Deku charged up one for all and threw Todoroki back. "At this rate...even if he wins..." I paused, "he won't be able to fight."
"I'm giving it my all! The way you should be! That's I'm going to win this," Deku punched him once again, seeing Todoroki back.
"It's your quirk, not his!" He's trying to save him...
In that moment, flames erupted from Todoroki; a funnel of fire surrounding him. "That's a good boy! Have you finally accepted your purpose?" Endeavor's voice echoed through the stadium. My eyes trailed over to the flame hero, then towards his son, Todoroki wiped the few beads of sweat from his face. The flames slowly growing more as he stared at Deku. Beautiful...
They began to rush at each other, the brightness of Todoroki's flames overpowering the stadium as well as Deku's use of one for all. The sudden echoing of an explosion taking over my ears. In the span of seconds, smoke began to settle, "What in the heck is up with your students Aizawa?" Preset Mic's voice echoed.
I got up from my seat and rushed out of the viewing box, "good luck Iida-kun," I managed to wave before I left.
I jogged passed the arena entrance, hearing voices. "Shoto..."
I stopped leaning on the wall as the conversation continued, "have you finally accepted your fate? With that, you'll need to learn to control your left side. Once that's done, you'll work by my side and surpass even me."
"This doesn't mean anything. I'm still rejecting you,"
"What?"
I peaked my head, catching glimpse of the pair, "in that moment, I forgot all about you." I pulled back, "I'm not sure if it's good or bad yet, but I think...I probably don't need you," Todoroki said. As his footsteps became slightly louder I backed away continuing my route to the infirmary. "I wonder what'll happen now?" I asked myself as I walked into the infirmary.
"Deku," I frowned as I walked towards the bed. I reached on my hand, resting it on his casted arm. "The bones were fractured pretty badly, they splintered into your muscle. I won't be able to heal you until I can take them out. I'm afraid they won't ever be the same," my frown deepened at the words of recovery girl, "dummy, why'd you have to push yourself so hard." "All might, I don't think you should praise him for this one. He could've ended up much worse," I whispered as I felt his hand on my shoulder. "Deku!" The door burst open as some of our classmates ran in. "Sorry kids, he's in no shape for visitors," recovery girl said, "hey guys," Deku grunted.
Ururaka smiled softly, "they're fixing the arena first, it was badly damaged." Iida followed her statement with a quick praise in Deku's spirit. "Everyone! You're all too noisy, please go. He'll be fine but right now I need to concentrate in surgery," recovery girl pushed them out the door. I sighed, "I guess I'll go too. I won't do anything but worry if I don't."
"I'm sorry," Deku grunted, my eyes widened in surprise. "I could've won that if I had just shut up," he continued, wincing at the pain. I gritted my teeth before sighing, I turned towards all might giving a silent nod. This isn't something I'll be able to help him with, I bent down pulling back his hair to reveal his watery eyes. "Don't cry, dummy," I mumbled before placing my lips on his forehead. I turned back at all might, "I'm trusting him with you. Don't disappoint, number one hero." I bowed to recovery girl before exiting the infirmary. I sighed, my hand covering my eyes as they began to water slightly, "I wonder why it's affecting me now...this feeling...after all these years."
