"Father," I managed to squeak again, what is he doing here? "I see you're still hanging out with these...nobody's," he scoffed as he placed a hand on my chin, lifting it slightly to examine my face. "Per usual, you're face is looking beautiful. Honestly, why do you insist on coming here it baffles me," he chuckled, turning on his heels to look at Kacchan and Deku. "They're my friends," I said to him, attempting to keep my voice indifferent and hide my fear. "Are you talking back to me?" His demeanor changed, a much more dark tone coming from his voice. "No sir," I spoke again, my hands beginning to tremble slightly.

"I see, come on," he attempted to grab my arm, "Let's go home, we need to have a talk. Your mother will be waiting there." I clenched my hangs against my chest, "she doesn't have to go anywhere with you!" Kacchan growled, stepping towards my father. My dad's face contorted into anger, turning towards me he spoke, "let's go, now." "Like hell she is!" Kacchan spoke again, this time louder, my father looked towards him, "stay out of this punk. The only reason she's still friends with you is because I allow it. Not to mention your quirk may come in handy." "Come on already," he grabbed my wrist, pulling me harshly behind him. "Let her go!" Deku yelled beginning to follow us, I turned to them shaking my head. "Please no," I mouthed to them before getting jerked away by my father and shoved into a car.

I quickly slipped on my shoes, leaving without saying a single word. As I stepped out of the house I sighed, I began walking towards the gate catching sight of Kacchan. "Hey," he said, his hands deep in his pockets as he began walking behind me. He hadn't caught sight of the bruises yet. "Hey," I echoed back, not facing him. "You look like crap, princess," I stopped in my tracks, him bumping into me, "what the—"

"About yesterday, don't worry about it. I have it under control," I mumbled before continuing to walk. "The hell, do you honestly think you're okay with that bastard treating you the way he did," he grabbed my shoulders, turning me around to face him. I looked away, "no but I'm hardly ever home anyway. He...he just happened to catch me this time." "What the hell happened to your face?" I stiffened, "I fell. now drop it Kacchan," I felt myself on the verge of tears if I didn't make him stop talking. "No way! You don't just get bruises like that on your face from falling," he glared, his hands began to create small sparks. "Kacchan drop it! I don't want to bring this up anymore. I would like to keep this between us," I sighed again. "Fine, but if he or that woman do anything else to you, I'll kill them," he smashed his fist against his palm, creating more sparks. I smiled, "that's not very heroic."

"Whatever. Go pick up that quirkless loser already,"

The remainder of our walk was silent, with few attempts in between from Deku to speak with me about yesterday. I simply deflected until I asked for them both to drop the topic, I made sure to say it loud enough for Kacchan to hear as he was walking in front of us. When we arrived to class I attempted my best to hide my face or divert any questions about the obvious bruises. "Today is a very important day," Mr. Aizawa spoke, zipping himself up in his worm like body suit, "along with all might, another faculty member and myself, we will be conducting new training today."

"New training, huh, I wonder what it is," I mumbled, my hand pressed against my bruised cheek. "What type of training is it?" I heard another student call out. "Rescue training, you're allowed to wear whatever you'd like. I'll warn you though, you're all still not accustomed to your hero costume yet so be mindful they might limit your ability." The class began to hoot and chat amongst itself in excitement. "Isn't that interesting? Real hero work," Ururaka smiled, "so exciting!" I smiled at her, sending a quick yeah in response. "I am not finished, this is at an off-campus facility. We're going via bus, that's all for now. Hurry up and get ready so we may leave." Once I changed I made my way to the bus, Deku and Ururaka conversing beside me. "Kana, are you alright? You haven't talked much today," I heard Ururaka say. "Oh um...I'm fine, just day dreaming," I smiled at her, her eyes dipped towards my bruises. Deku took note and diverted her attention to Iida who was shouting for us all to line up beside the bus. "I think we should warn him that the bus has an open lay out, this lining up plan won't do," I laughed lightly before entering the bus behind Deku.

Deku sat beside Tsu and Kirishima, I smiled at them both waving as I sat beside Kacchan. Catching a glimpse of Todoroki, I sent him a wave before he closed his eyes and leaned back, his headphones deep in his ear. "What a bust," I mumbled as I got comfortable beside Kacchan.

I leaned forward, my arms hanging over the railing in front of me, "Midoriya, that quirk of yours is totally amazing! Too bad you hurt your body in the process though." I listened along as they began chatting about quirks, "yeah but if there's any quirks that are pro material here it's Bakugo, Todoroki, and Takahashi," Kirishima gushed, getting Kacchan's attention away from the window. "Yeah but Bakugo...well too bad he's got such a bad attitude. I don't think he'll be popular," Tsu said, "I'll kick your ass!" Kacchan yelled causing me to flinch at his outburst.

"That's true! In comparison to Takahashi who's just lovely and like a princess," Kaminari added, his eyes shifting over to me. I smiled sweetly, "no way, my quirk is no where near as amazing as them two."

"Thinking about it, I don't think I know what your quirk is Takahashi," Kirishima continued. "Just call me Kana, and my quirk is kinda weird," I paused, "I can't really explain it," I laughed. "The princess here can pretty much manipulate natural resources and subcategories within said resources," Kacchan spoke, his tone sounding bored. "That's right, Kan-chan is really skilled at using water and fire but she can also use earth and the air around her," Deku explained to them. "Woah, that's amazing," Kirishima smiled, "your quirk sounds really powerful and the way you displayed its use during our last training session shows it is!"

"Thank you, Kiri-chan but honestly I'm not that great," I managed to smile briefly before leaning on Kacchan's shoulder, audible protest coming from him but he made no attempt to move me. "Kiri-chan, me?" Kirishima pointed at himself, I giggled at his reaction, "sorry, I guess I should've asked before saying that." He blushed and shook his head, "no it's fine, I don't mind." "You still look crappy, princess, so don't flirt," I frowned at Kacchan's comment, elbowing him harshly afterward. "everyone! We're here, now stop messing around and get ready."

"Yes sir," the bus echoed in unison. We all stepped out of the bus, a huge dome-like facility before us.

"Hello all!" Pro hero thirteen greeted us, "welcome to the unforeseen simulation joint, or USJ for short!"
