I was beyond tired when I woke up with the sound of sharp crystals as shivers traveling down my body. Even though I had blankets wrapping around my body, it didn't seem to help. In fact, it actually made it colder. Weird, right?
I thought to myself, exhausted, "He's calling me like usual," and I reached to grab my phone with my trembling, freezing hands, "I will pick up now."
And so I did. I don't know why I am so tired on a Tuesday. Normally, I would be more awake, but I guess sometimes things change.
He was doing something other than video games while I slowly got up and out of my bed to get ready for the day.
I would always wear a hoodie when I was feeling tired and a little dizzy. Once again, I am not a morning person. I love the night and looking up at the stars rather than waking up bright and early.
So since I was feeling this way, I decided to change it up a bit. I watched a little bit of Glee in the morning. Netflix always helps me get up and about, and Glee is a terrific show to watch if you like singing and acting. It opens your mind to possibilities of having your dream come true by working hard.
I would say it is definitely one of my favorite shows to watch when I am bored, tired, or just feel like watching Netflix.
So I wanted to start off today with one thank you, which I will be doing for several of the days. (Once again, since this is a true story, names will not be mentioned for privacy purposes! Thank you for understanding!)
Thank you so much to our Head of School! You are truly incredible, and thank you for inspiring me to pursue my dreams! Thank you for always supporting me and always being there to have conversation or just to talk! I really appreciate it! Most importantly, thank you so much for always truly believing in me and telling me that anything is possible!
After I had a couple of my classes, I facetimed him while he was playing Minecraft. I made small comments, and we laughed; an usual, splendid day!
I had one quiz today in English, which I believe went very well. I really like English class, and it is basically my passion!
While I had pizza for lunch, I watched Fallout: Mission Impossible, which is definitely one of my favorite movies because I love Tom Cruise. He is a wonderful actor.
This movie opened my eyes and showed me that with perseverance and determination, nothing is impossible; it just seems like it is.
I feel like watching a lot of movies is the new normal during the virus because we are all stuck at home, sometimes a little bored, so we decide to watch new films to change perspective and understanding.
That's why I love watching movies; it teaches you the simple dichotomy: right and wrong, and it shows how whatever mistake a person makes is for a reason. And that reason could influence your future positively. You never know...
I had a couple more classes, and then, a free period, which is when I finished my homework and did some running for a workout. It was very fun because I had music on my speakers in my basement.
For what felt like the first time in forever, I went outside and sat there reading. It was nice to smell the wind that whistled in my ear and hear the leaves rustling softly. I realized how much I missed it. I decided from now on that I would go outside more to hear the birds sing a lovely song and feel nature surround me like a friend.
This brought so much happiness to me and made me laugh just to be outside. I realize how sometimes we don't realize how much we miss something until it has to be taken away from us.
Later, I helped make dinner with my family. We had pasta that had tomato sauce and shredded cheese with a side of sliced bread and olive oil. We also watched another movie during dinner, which was called The Shawshank Redemption.
From this movie, I learned that anything is possible if you set your mind to it. You can achieve anything! Which I believe fully. Most importantly, it brings people hope for a bright future that is only steps ahead.
Then, I facetimed with him for an hour or so, and then, we said our goodnights. A pretty good day.
