I keep thinking how ironic the connections are between I am Legend and today's world. Just some thoughts in my mind. Definitely both represent hard times. But we are all in this together! And we will get through this!
So I wanted to say one thank you! Thank you to my History teacher and Class Dean of 2023 at Tower Hill! Thank you for always spreading positively during class and whenever I see you! It always brings a big smile to my face and makes my day a lot better! Thank you for challenging me to go outside of my comfort zone for history! You are so sweet and truly amazing!
I was so happy that today's Sunday. I planned with my dad to go practice driving at his warehouse.
I quickly got up with the sound of him calling me, and we talked for a bit about life, school work, and the weekend, of course!
Then, we said our goodbyes as I rushed to do my normal routine: brush my teeth, wash my face, eat breakfast, and change into casual clothes.
My dad and I went into the car and drove to his warehouse. There wasn't much traffic, which is not really surprising under these conditions.
The wind was breezy and extremely calm. I heard the sounds of happy bird chirps like a melody in my ears.
As we drove to the back of the warehouse since there were no cars or people there, we saw three cats. We gave them some water and went back into the car.
The first time driving I accidentally hit the brake a little too hard, but it happens for first time drivers. Right?
But thankfully, I got used to it and drove around the warehouse pretty consistently without hitting anything, going too fast, or hitting the brake too hard. I was a pretty good driver for a beginner, which made me really happy.
We did this for around a couple hours until my dad drove us back home just in time for lunch, which my mom prepared.
I was very grateful for her making our entire family lunch that my dad and I both decided to wash the dishes afterwards.
She made us crab cake sandwiches that are just phenomenal! We watched the Hunger Games while eating.
This movie taught me that true love can never be broken apart even in the toughest situations, and that hope is the inspiration that people need to rebel in something they don't believe in to make their society better to benefit all.
Afterwards, I did some studying for the quizzes and tests next week and prepared for the projects. It went better than I expected!
Then, I facetimed him for a little while, and we talked like usual while he was playing video games. He showed me Spike, his cat, which I really excited about!
Life is going great!
