May 13, 2020

My eyes soared to my clock: 8:00 a.m, "Wait," I thought, starting to panic a little but trying to take deep breaths, "8:00?"

Yes, it was 8:00, and school started at 8:40, which means that I have about 40 minutes to get ready today. It was a rush, let's just say that.

I called him, and he said that he wanted me to sleep in because I looked really tired yesterday, which I thought was very generous and sweet.

But I quickly got up and went to get ready: brushing my teeth, washing my face, putting on an outfit, breakfast, etc. Having morning where everything has to go quickly makes my head spin and makes me feel really dizzy.

I also added in a small workout; even though I was running a little late on schedule. It was nice and woke me up. I used an app, which I highly recommend, called 7 Minute Workout. We would use this app all the time during tennis practice last year at my old school. It is truly amazing and fun!

So my advice for today is that if you are really tired during the day just do a small, maybe 10 minute, workout. I recommend running or using an app like the one I suggested.

Thankfully, I made it to morning meeting on time with an extra thing that I did, which is really good, and we said our goodbyes on facetime. I then listened to announcements and other things before classes.

I only had a couple of classes today, which is normal because our schedule is filled with plenty of free time to go outside and do what we like, without looking at computer screens. I would normally do a small workout or play pingpong with my dad and mom, which is always exciting.

Classes went by like a blur, and just like that it was 2:45. I decided to go outside to get some fresh air and just sat there feeling the wind blow through my hair peacefully and hearing the birds sing a sweet melody.

I thought to myself at this moment, "Nature is so beautiful. I mean, you never really realize how much you miss something until it is taken away from you without any exceptions."

This was my true feeling during this time, which saddened me, but I always have hope that we will get through COV-19 together.

I then worked on my blanket for MSAG during Faculty Work Time. It was very calm and relaxing as I watched netflix while doing so. I watched Glee like I always do, and it showed me courage and how taking risks can be a good thing.

This show teaches people all about positive hope, and how dreams can become reality if you work really hard for it. Anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

For lunch, my mom and I prepared a large pizza, which we put in the oven to heat up. My mom is working as well as I am going to classes, so we are both busy at some moments. But others, we share mother-daughter moments where we cook, bake, etc.

We both watched Jurassic World while eating. This movie taught me that even if you are stuck in a situation, there is always a way to get out of it and start a new, happy life; even if it seems impossible, it isn't. Nothing is impossible with work put into it.

I had some other work to accomplish after classes, so I worked on that for an hour or so, which was okay. The work is always manageable, which is very good and delightful for students.

I also watched to say a thank you right now to my advisor, so here it is:

Thank you to my advisor at Tower Hill! You are truly amazing, and thank you for always being there for me even in hard times! I am so lucky to have a fantastic advisor and math teacher! Thank you for always supporting me and believing in me for being myself!

Afterwards, my family and I prepared dinner. We always like helping each other do this because this is when we have family time mostly.

My dad would make a joke, and we would laugh until our stomachs hurt but wouldn't be able to stop anyways. This was an usual night at my house.

We also watched another movie called The Minority Report. This movie showed me to not trust everyone, but keep in good terms as much as possible. It is a brilliant movie with Tom Cruise in it, which makes it even better. He is definitely one of my favorite actors, who brings a lot of inspiration to others.

But before you know it, there I am, lying in bed, smiling at how good the day was compared to some of the others. But the other days weren't bad at all; it was just that today was the best.
