Chapter 7

Now, I wasn't afraid to cry, to scream my head off, to protest against my kidnapper. And better yet, I did all of that. Soon enough, there was a loud bang upstairs. Like something or someone was knocked down to the floor.

I didn't know if I should've had my hopes up. Maybe it was finally the end.

I continued my squirming and screaming. Just as I'd imagined a billion times before, the door to the cellar opened. The man that stood there, had a flashlight and a gun in hand.

My beater was completely unaware. Beating me was giving him too much pleasure. The detectives sneaked up to us and before the metal could contact my back one last time.

"You are under arrest for kidnapping Alicia Starks and abusing an underage citizen. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say will be held against you."

I was slowly pulled up and they had checked the damage with the flashlight. But it was too dark in the cellar and the detective that was helping me must've noticed my dilemma because the next thing he said was "Frank, can you turn on the lights?" Click.

I looked around the room I had been kept in for 4 months. The horror was unexplainable.

Blood.

The pure red blood was everywhere. It was all I could see.

Blood.

A scream of pure horror escaped me as the detective closed my eyes and wrapped a blanket around my body. That was the smell I had been surrounded by. I had been in the same room with nearly 65 lifeless bodies for 4 months. I was about to become one of them. The last thing I saw before the detectives helped me out of the room was the sight of the lady that helped me call for help laying there in her own pool of blood, tossed into a pile carelessly. Like she was nothing.

For the first time, I really looked at the house. The small kitchen and the large flat screen in the living room made the house look cozy. Of course, nothing is ever as it seems. I had been right. There was a second floor.

The kidnappers had been long gone and I wasn't able to really see them. Pity, I thought, I would have liked to see their idiotic sadistic faces. As I walked out of the door, I started crying, I was finally free.

The horror house was a few steps behind me by now. The abuse, the rape started flashing through my mind as happy tears turned into hurt and pain.

Ahead of me, a car came to a stop. The car door opened to reveal a man with swooshy hair and a scarf on his neck. His expression held worry as he started running towards me after he slammed the car door shut. Before I could really understand what was going on, he pulled me into a tight hug.

"Everything's gonna be alright, Alicia. I promise."

Those words were enough to have me bawling into his chest.

Liam's POV

I had heard her painful screams down the street. When I finally arrived to the horror house, I remember jumping out of the car immediately. It was a very cold night. It was pretty dark around the area. The only lights were supplied from the police cars that surrounded the house.

The front door opened and out came the detectives with a crying bruised girl.

"STOP THE CAR!" I said quickly before jumping out.

Alicia, was that her?

"We found her!" One of the detectives called over. That was enough to get me running towards her and engulfed her in a hug.

"Everything's gonna be alright, Alicia. I promise." I said, ready to help her with anything. She pulled away from under my chin and looked me in the eye. The rush of the feelings in her eyes knocked the wind out of me. Then, she fell into my arms, eyes closed.
