Liam's POV

Day after day, the flowers in Alicia's room grew more and more. Soon, it was a little garden that contained a bit of every kind.

Alicia was getting better. It was visible on her body. Her sickly yellow bruises were almost gone and the doctors were impressed by her quick recovery. The only thing is; she was still in a deep sleep. It was the 4th day of IV Therapy yet she hadn't moved an inch. I was spending most of my time in Alicia's room, mostly hugging a flower or a bouquet. Julian was mostly watching Alicia from the glass window that seperated her from him. The last time he was in the room, he couldn't stand the sight and simply broke down crying.

--------------------------

"Rise and shine, Alicia!" I said in the cheeriest voice possible. I was starting to believe I was losing it. I hadn't slept in a week and it was seriously getting to my head.

Minutes inched away like decades and I was starting to zone in and out of space. The soft beats in the room that gave me chills once upon a time, occupied my head long enough.

Just as I hoped I would hear, there was a deep breath drewn. Then a cough. And a painful moan. As my head shot up, I scattered to my feet. I wasn't dreaming, was I?

Just to check, I slapped myself.

And it hurt, bad.

I looked up to see Alicia staring at me like I had two heads. I realised I just slapped myself, in front of a person I've never met before.

'How classy.' I thought. She was still looking at me and the room was getting quite awkward.

"How are you feeling?" I asked, scratching the back of my neck. Alicia firmly shut her mouth before opening it back again.

"A little sore. And hungry." She blinked a few times before she smiled at me. "Thank you."

So she remembered me. Suddenly, I didn't feel as weird as a minute ago.

"All I did was recieve your mail and give it to the police. I didn't exactly do much."

"That's not true. You've been here the whole time, haven't you? That's got to count for something." She shot back.

Did she hear me in her sleep or something? How did she know?

"Well, I was waiting for you to wake up. Speaking of which-" I pressed the button next to her patient bed. "-we should probably inform the doctors." She nodded her head.

"I don't think we've officially met. I'm Liam." I extended my arm.

"I'm Alicia." She responded shaking my hand. Her big brown eyes caused me flashbacks, which was weird since I've never met her before. Her gaze held something more for me I couldn't quite place a finger on. I got up as the doctors came in. "I know."

Alicia's POV

After peeling my eyes away from the door, I finally looked at the doctors that came in. My eyes shot open.

"Missed us, Alicia?" The first guys to kidnap me were in this hospital room. This cannot be happening.

"W-what are you doing here?" One of them came closer as I stumbled upon my words.

"Well, Alicia, we heard you survived. I can't let that happen. You know that." I was about to scream when the guy closer to me covered my mouth.

"This is going to hurt a litte." A hard pinch was on my arm and soon everything faded to black.

Liam's POV

"Doctor, how's Alicia holding up?" I asked when the doctors came out of the room. The two doctors looked at eachother before one of them answered.

"We've ran the tests, she fell asleep though. We'll come back to check on her again." And with that, the two doctors dissappeared down the hospital hall.

That was when the beeping sound in Alicia's room became frantic.

Not long after I ran into the room, the doctors and nurses rushed in and pushed me out of there, directly starting to work on Alicia.
