I thought she had died. The rush I caused to get her to the nearest hospital was definitely something. Turns out, she only fainted out of pain.

I looked through the glass windows one last time before crouching down, waiting for someone to tell me exactly what was going on. A doctor walked out of Alicia's room. I stood up, quickly nearing him.

"Are you here for Ms. Starks?" I nodded. I needed the results, badly.

"It appears Ms. Starks is being flown to New York, I have no permission to run tests."

"Who is flying her out to New York?" I asked, ready to get in contact.

"Mr. Julian Starks." He said before simply walking away. I pulled out my phone before punching in Detective Beckett's number.

"Detective Beckett."

"Detective, did you know about Alicia being flown out to New York?"

"Ah, Liam. Yes, I was just about to inform you. Sam has already booked you tickets. So no worries." I mentally noted that I would thank Paul for hiring Sam, once again. After saying goodbye, I walked up to the glass windows glancing at Alicia, again. Wires were attached to her fragile body.

Black and blues were covering her almost everywhere. How long would she be out cold, I wondered. Hopefully, it wouldn't be as long as I thought it would be. She had that innocent glow that gave you that natural pull. I shook my head, detaching myself from the window. Pushing myself off the wall, I slightly slapped myself to stay awake. New York, here we come.

****

After getting here in 20 hours, give or take, I was once again casting looks at Alicia's limp body, peering through yet another window. Only this time, the tests had been run and I was anxiously waiting for the results. After my never ending pacing and peering through glass windows, a doctor finally walked towards me.

"Are you here for Ms. Starks?" I nodded, now all ears. I hoped for the best, fingers crossed.

"Well, we're ran a lot of tests on Ms. Starks, and will continue the process when she wakes up." At least she was going to wake up, she was going to be okay. My intense gaze must've effected the doctor because he cleared his throat and started looking through papers that seemed like results.

"A broken arm, a deep wound in her back, many slits, cuts, cigarette burns, razor cuts, black, blue, brown bruises all over her body, starvation and lastly-" Please don't be bad. Please don't be worse than anything listed. "-rape."

I felt my eyes squeeze shut as I all but tried not to burst into flames on the spot. What kind of people would do that to an innocent young girl? How could they be so harsh? How sadistic was that? I was fuming. Trying to keep my emotions in check, I was trying not to go ballistic and try to have a swing at those responsible.

A reassuring hand was suddenly on my shoulder. " She's known to be a survivor around here. We -the whole staff- are surprised and glad she's alive. It's a true miracle."

He had a point. Shock overwhelmed me as I went through the list once again. I felt like throwing up. As I slid myself down the white hospital wall, a guy in his early 20's came rushing down the hall looking pretty frantic.

"I'm here for Alicia Starks." My head shot up so fast I heard my neck crack. His jet black hair seemed develished and his dark green eyes scanning glass windows seemed like he hadn't had a good sleep in awhile.

"As I have explained her situation to the young man there, we have ran some tests. Firstly, I'd like you to keep calm. How close are you with Ms. Starks?"

"I'm her brother. I'm  the one who reported her missing." As I looked closer, I finally saw the resemblance. The fair hair, the shape of their eyes, the facial structures. I got up to my feet and slowly walked up to them as Alicia's brother, Julian finally noticed me.

"Well, Mr. Starks-" The doctor paused to look through his papers once again. " -Alicia has been through great torture and she's a true survivor." Julian looked like he was about to crack, and luckily the doctor understood.

"A broken arm, a deep wound on her back that was slit by the metal of a belt - it's been confirmed that she was rescued during an abuse- which means she's been saved from possibly having her spine broken. Many slits, cigarette burns, razor cuts-" By now Julian whom stood 6'1'' tall, took a seat and his head in his hands. "-black, blue and brown bruises on various parts of her body, starvation and rape." Julian started shaking violently. He was crying. I walked up to the doctor.

"How long will it take for her to wake up?"

"Well, she is not in coma, which is good news. The pain killers and anesthesia will probably keep her asleep. She's still unconcious. More tests are waiting for her when she wakes up. She's hooked up to IV therapy and will continue it due to the starvation she's gone through. I can't answer your question, though inform me if any changes occur." I nodded and walked to Julian after saying my thanks. He looked up to me as I sat down.

"I'm Liam, Liam Payne. She sent me the letter that rescued her. I did and will do anything I can to help." Her brother extended his hand out.

"Julian Starks. Thank you for coming all the way from UK to help. And being here throughout the whole time." Tears rimmed his eyes. I shook his hand firmly before peering through the glass window.

"It was the least I could do." He shook his head.

"It wasn't. It really wasn't." He sighed before getting up and looking through the glass window, watching Alicia's every move, which may I add; wasn't very much.
