Chapter 14

The excitement in me has gone at that moment when I saw Melody with someone else. They looked so very happy at those time so i'm wondering—did Melody has a feelings for me? I mean, we kissed! Twice! She also said last night that I am her favorite person right now so what was that? Why they are together?

"Bro? You're spacing out again?" I just returned in my sanity when I heard Lance's voice behind me.

We're here in the cinema ticket booth to buy some tickets for this movie of Will Smith, Lance favorite artist. Even though I don't feel watching any movies right now but—damn! Melody and that guy is eating my whole mind!

"Here's your ticket bro!" Sabay pag abot ni Lance. "After this eh let's celebrate! May alam akong bagong bukas na—"

Nakatutok ang aking mata kay Lance nang mahagip ng paningin ko ang isang babae at lalaki na naglalakad na magkasabay—that's Melody and Steven!

Walang pagaalinlangan kong iniwan sa kinakatayuan ang aking bestfriend at sinundan ang dalawa na ngayon ay naglalakad papasok sa isang music store kung saan din ako dinala ni Melody noong bagong bukas pa lang ito.

Ipagpapatuloy ko na sana ang pagsunod sa kanila when somebody hold my hand.

"Bro! What's wrong with you?" I turned my gaze with that voice and I found out that it was Lance. He's still holding our tickets.

"Look—ahmmm it is an urgent one a—and I really need to go in that store!" As I point my finger into it.

"But, how about these tickets? Sayang naman at baka hindi natin masimulan!"

"This is way more important Lance so cut it off!"

Iniwan ko ang aking kaibigan doon at nagpatuloy na pumasok sa music store. Tumambad sa aking tenga ang musika nang isang sikat na banda—In The End, Linkin Park.

Hinanap ng aking mga mata ang dalawa at nahagilap ko sila sa isang stall sa bandang dulo ng store. Agad ko naman silang sinundan nang patago para marinig ang pinag uusapan nila 'cause they seems to look so happy as I am stairing at them.

"No way! I also love that song!" Melody with a wide smile plastered on her face.

"I mean—who would not? This is an iconic one and Crowded House is such a great band!" Steven with a music tape on his hands.

"I do love their songs talaga haysssttt!"

What was that sigh Melody? Are you attracting him? Alam kong wala tayong label but—hold on? Bakit kayo kumakanta? What's wrong with you all?

"There is freedom within, there is freedom without... Try to catch the deluge in a paper cup..." Steven started while playing with a guitar on his imagination. He actually looked like a dumb!

"There's a battle ahead, many battles are lost... But you'll never see the end of the road...While you're traveling with me..." Melody.

Oh come on Melody! Don't start with me now! Wag mo kong daandanin sa pagkanta kanta mo dahil kung inaakala mong wala lang sa'kin 'to? Tangina kanina ko pa gustong sumabog dahil sa ganda ng boses mo! You really know how to play a card ah?!

"Hey now, hey now... Don't dream it's over..." They are now singing along together.

"Hey now, hey now... When the world comes in... They come, they come... To build a wall between us... We know they won't win..."

Patuloy ko lang sila na pinagmamasdan habang pinapakinggan 'cause I know this song! And it sucks that I loved it too! And yeah! I am admitting it, they sounds beautifully. I just hope I can sing also.
