Chapter 15

Everyone in the crowd captured this night as picture perfect because of this still on going performance of Steven and Melody. They really sing well and they compliment each others voice.

Ayokong magpalamon sa insekyuridad kaya hinayaan ko ang sarili na pagmasdan ang buong paligid... nang napansin ko si Lance na malalim ang tingin sa stage at may hawak pang bote ng alak sa magkabilang kamay.

Agad naman akong tumayo sa aking pwesto at pinuntahan siya. There's something odd with him for this day.

I almost forgot that he invited me to chill out because of something—I don't know yet. At alam ko kung may problema bang kinakaharap ang kaibigan ko and I know he's dealing with it right now.

"Hey bro! Let's go! Doon tayo sa may tabi ng bartender!" Inakbayan ito kaya naagaw ko ang paningan niya.

"Hmmm let's go! I bought you a bottle of vodka so let's get in!" He replied.

Halatang may tama na ang kaibigan ko kaya inalalayan ko siyang maglakad hanggang sa makadating kami sa dati kong pwesto.

"Here's your drink Troye!"

Just when he was sitting up, there he handed me a bottle. I immediately accepted it because I knew he wouldn't stop bothering me until I drink. And I also want to know what is his problem again.

"Cheers to those people who just see us as nothing!" He then drink the bottle.

"Cheers to those people who knows how to manipulate our life! Cheers!" I tried to stop him but he is just so strong.

"Cheers for my mom and dad who wouldn't let me live in the life that I wanted to live for!"

And this time, I held his hand for stopping him to drink... when we were suddenly startled by the scream and applause of the people. Lance immediatly look at the stage and so do I—it was Steven continuely singing.

"Well you done done me and you bet I felt it... I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted... I fell right through the cracks and now I'm trying to get back..."

He looked so happy playing with his guitar. And everyone is singing their heart out 'cause he is singing a popular song.

"Before the cool done run out I'll be giving it my best-est... nothings going to stop me but divine intervention... I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some..."

I was about to transfer my eyes to Melody when I noticed Steven and Lance's gaze. They were looking at each other but suddenly Steven took his eyes away to Lance.

"I won't hesitate no more, no more... This cannot wait, I'm yours..."

Nagpalakpakan ang lahat nang matapos kumanta sina Melody at Steven. I also clapped my hands... except Lance who's keep on drinking his vodka.

Agad ko naman itong nilapitan at inakbayan.

"What was it bro? What's up with your parents?" I started.

"Nothing bro! Nothing is new," he then bow his head. "I'm still under by their depth spell."

I immediately understood what he was saying. It is so hard to live in your life if you do have a manipulative parents—that's sucks! Mabuti na lang at natuto na ko sa mga magulang ko pero itong kaibigan ko... he's still crawling for help. He doesn't know how to stand on his own life.

"Then why won't you escape on it? I mean, you already have the money, you can actually feed yourself without their help, you're already an adult! Leave them and act your age!" I said.
