Chapter 18

Nagpatuloy ang pagkain ng lahat, maging ako na hindi pa rin mawala sa isipan ang mga nangyari kagabi. Bahala na kung anoman ang pwedeng mangyari sa mga susunod na araw. I already started building my plans for the betterment.

"Let's make a toast for the successful outcome of our huge project!" As Tito Henry break the silence.

My mom handed me a glass of wine as we all take a toast and drink this bitter-sweet rice wine. Everyone seems a fond of this except me and Hannah, we're both make a face as we drink it.

"The sales of our project is kicking way up high Henry! I can feel now a new more projects with you!" My dad cheerfully demanded.

"Of course Arthur! I am expecting a fresh ideas from you and your company so we can definitely start a new project!" As Tito Henry giggle.

"We should start also a business now kumare! What do you think?" Tita Anylaine.

"Aba aba! Ayaw magpaawat ng mga asawang ito. Mukhang may balak pa atang pabagsakin tayo Henry!" My dad cracked a joke.

"Nako mare! I have a business proposal for you!" My mon joined as well.

Ang lahat ngayon ay nagtatawanan at abala sa paguusap ng kanilang kaniya kaniyang patutsada. Patuloy ko lang na pinagmamasdan ang lahat. Si Dad and Tito Henry na may kung ano anong pinaguusapan, si Mom and Tita Anylaine na nagtatawanan at si Hannah na ngayon ay balisa sa kaniyang kinauupuan, kanina pa siya nakatunganga sa lamesa simula nang magusap ang lahat.

And here I am... still waiting for Melody's reply. I need a few words from her just to wake the hell out of me. She is my source of energy as if these times.

"By the way anak, Hannah! Kamusta naman kayo nitong si Troye? Nung nakaraan lang eh inihatid ka nito pauwi ah. Mukhang nagkakamabutihan kayong dalawa!" Tito Henry teasing us.

Here we go again! Akala ko makakaligtas na ko sa mga ganitong usapan. Both Hannah and I are off tonight. I mean... we're both exhausted from school and now everyone is already started. I'm pretty sure that all of you will keep on asking us until we satisfied your peace of mind.

"Ahmmm we're doing good naman dad! And y-yeah! He's so k-ki—kind towards me."

She lied! "Oh come one! Why won't you just tell the truth! That I am hurting you emotionally! That we're not doing good! I am not even kind towards you! We don't have to act like this Hannah... you don't have to." Yan sana ang gusto kong sabihin pero mas pinili ko na lang na manahimik at makinig sa usapan nila.

"Aba mabuti naman 'yon! Hayssttt alam mo ba Troye! Lately this spoiled brat is getting home for like 12am in the midnight. I really thought that she's already wasting her life! She—"

"Mom stop!" She then looked at me. "Kaya ako nauwi ng late eh dahil madalas ang pag alis namin ni T-Troye! That's the only time for us to set a date!"

Bigla akong napaayos ng upo nang marinig ang sinabi ni Hannah. She's giving me now a fake smile that irritates me more. I don't want to embarrass her but she's peaking me at my point.

"Wow son is that true?" As my mom set her gaze on me. "Anyway I got a two tickets, 3 days and 2 nights vacation in Amsterdam—I'm thinking that I should give it with you two! At diba malapit na din naman ang semestral break niyo? And right after eh OJT niyo na! Deserve niyong dalawa 'yon!"

Okay that's enough! I'm done with this game!

"Hannah let's talk outside please! Excuse us mom, dad, Tito Henry and Tita."

Nagtatakang ngumiti naman ang lahat. Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Hannah nang napatingin ako sa kaniya, ang nakakainis na ngiti niya kanina ay unti unti nang napalitan ng  pagbilog ng labi. Agad naman akong tumayo at nagsimula na maglakad palabas.
