After the events from the other day, the teachers decided that the class should all live at UA for their 'protection.' If you ask Bakugo, he would say it doesn't make sense because now they are all in the same spot. But now, the class has been faced with a new issue.
The class all squeezes into the main living area, whether it be on the couch or on the floor they were all here, including that Izuku, who sat hidden beside Bakugo.
"So... what are we going to do?" Uraraka asks,
"I think we should give him a room, kero." Tsuyu responds.
"WHY WOULD WE GIVE THAT WASTE OF SPACE A ROOM!" Bakugo loudly states, it wasn't really a question but he got a response anyways.
"Bakugo, he is a person. Everyone deserves a room." Todoroki says solemnly, 'he's starring at the ground, sort of like how that Deku did. Does? Did? AH WHAT THE HELL!' Bakugo thinks to himself, he bolts upright onto his feet and storms out of the room out of frustration with his own thoughts.
He slams the door behind himself and sits down against it. Still listening to their conversations.
"LET'S MAKE IT SHINY!" Aoyama exclaims,
"We can fill it with magazines!" Mineta implies to something that isn't just "Heroes Weekly" or some sort of sports magazine.
"How will we decorate it though?"Jiro questions, "We can't exactly ask him."
"We could always ask Bakugo..."
"I really don't think that's a wise choice." Ojiro quickly intrupts,
"His mom said he likes quirks and stuff, why don't we put some hero figures in there?" Uraraka insists, making it not so much of a suggestion but a must.
"Why don't we ask the ouiji board?" Mina asks, nudging Denki while snickering.
"That would take too long, and what kind of questions would we ask?" Momo interjects, shutting down the idea instantly.
"Why don't we just let Midoriya pick out what he wants?" Iida suggests,
"But how would we do that?" Hagakure asks curiously.
"Why don't we tour everyone's rooms and Izuku can give us some sort of signal on what he likes!" Uraraka sparks excitement in everyone's eyes, and maybe for a few reasons it shouldn't,
"Hear that Kami? We can check out the girls rooms!" Mineta whispers excitedly,
"Well, we don't really have to see the girls rooms, right? We are decorating for a guy..." Jiro says shyly, not wanting to show off her room.
"Guys can like stereotypical girl things Jiro, we shouldn't force our ideas on Izuku and potentially be ignorant to something he might like." Sero interjects. Jiro got visibly embarrassed at the point, not wanting to admit exactly why she didn't want to show off her room. Momo gives a light wink and smile to Jiro, showing that she had nothing to worry about.
Deep in Iida's mind, he couldn't get over this whole situation. Izuku seemed like such a nice kid, but he couldn't quite get it through him. Izuku was taking up attention, attention he desperately desired. He had always been put behind his brother, he was never the first to do something impressive, never the one who got all the glory in his actions, no matter how hard he tried. He loved his brother, but resentment had grown from the split favouritism in his parents love, angled toward his brother. He wanted the attention that Izuku had been getting, he wanted to be the one everyone was talking about, the one who people crowd around to learn more about. And he was, for less than one day before they learnt about Izuku. Iida wanted nothing less than to be depended upon first, before they asked someone else, he wanted people to go to him.
When the class made their way up to the boys' floor, Iida quickly volunteered to go first to show off his room. He displayed off his plentiful collection of glasses and textbooks, easily deeming him one of the new "Exam prep leaders." to help the class make it through the year. It weighed in Iida's chest that he was being wanted. But with one problem solved many others still existed.
Pressing on, the class toured many of the others rooms. It was deemed quickly Izuku wouldn't need any of the workout equipment that littered Kirishima's room, nor any of the baking goods in Sato's. The curious wind had expressed interest in people's books, but it was apparent to everyone, the hidden classmate was just excited to be around people, and see how they spend their time.
'He must have been alone, without Bakugo, for a long time.' Todoroki thought. The same thought running through many others minds, but Todoroki had some different thoughts about it, how he wanted to disappear sometimes too. But he knew he couldn't let that thought, 'hold him back', and once again buried it deep down, before it could see the light of day any longer.
By the time it came to Jiro's room, the group was tired, and Momo noticed the light embarrassment radiating off Jiro. She quickly walked over, whispering to her friend, "It's okay, no one is going to judge your room. It can't be worse than Mineta's!" The simple fact let Jiro breathe as she opened her door to let everyone in. The class all gasped at the room full of musical instruments,
"Jiro you can play all these?!" Denki cried out in excitement. Looking around the room, touching and trying to play every instrument in his sight. Momo smiled at Jiro, a good job, shining through her eyes.
The large group quickly returned to the lounge area to assess the information gathered from the tour. They tried to pool all their ideas before realizing, Izuku didn't really resonate with any of the rooms and just fangirled the whole time. This brought on the quick opinions of 'this was a waste of time', or 'well, I'm happy we did it anyways'.
"Maybe if we want to understand what he likes, we have to learn more about his quirk."
A/n. Like I said this is all to build up the characters. I want to at least give a small focus on every character, with select few I really want to build on, and I'm guessing you can figure out some of them. Also, I just wanted to throw out there, I use whichever name I find easier to understand, so I often switch between last name and first name depending on the character. Thanks for reading. -Miss_Fall (Next Update on Friday!)
"Does Izuku need to eat?"
"No, Kaminari, he's a ghost."
"Does that mean he's never had sweets?"
"No, Pikachu, he used to be alive."
"Woah."
