Namji entered the school building feeling down. No wonder, she didn't have the best birthday yesterday. Who would want to get beaten up and spend your time alone on your birthday?
Soobin was about to walk pass her along with his group of friends and expected her to annoy him again. But Namji didn't even give him a look and walked right pass him.
Soobin looked behind and thought something was odd about her.

Sanha: Hey Namji. *sits beside her*
Namji: Hi.
Sanha: I couldn't find you yesterday after P.E class, are you ok?
Namji looked at him with a weak smile.
Namji: Yeah, I'm fine.

LUNCHTIME
Namji was on her way to the rooftop with her lunchbox. Soobin was walking behind her and noticed that she dropped her handkerchief.
Soobin: Namji! You dropped this.
Namji: Thanks
Namji replied blankly before she walkwd away again. Soobin couldn't handle the curiosity he was feeling because of her behavior.
Soobin: Namji, wait. *grabs her arm*
Namji: Argh! *yelps*
Soobin let go of her arm. He didn't grab her that hard.
Namji: That hurts...
Soobin: Namji is something wrong with you? You're acting so weird today. You didn't even look at me.
Namji: I'm fine
Soobin: But you're acting like this towards me without a reason!
Namji looked at him hurtfully.
Namji: Without a reason?
She took of her blazer and showed her bruised arms.
Soobin: W-what happened? Who did this?
Namji: Soobin, you left me there alone yesterday. I called you for help but you were already gone.
Soobin: Namji-
Namji: It's ok, forget about it. I'm distancing myself from you now. I'm just putting myself in danger when I'm with you anyway...
She lastly gave him a weak smile.With that, she walked away from him. Soobin felt a stinging pain inside him. He didn't know why he felt this way but it hurt him seeing her like this.
Namji arrived at the rooftop. She watched the view from the top as warm tears fell from her eyes.
Namji: MOM! CAN YOU HEAR ME? How long do I have to live like this? I'm so tired!
Namji fell on her knees and continued to sob. Soobin stood behind the door and watched her.
Soobin: "I'm so sorry."
