Lisa: So how is everything holding up?
Namji: It's alright. I'm relieved that we found a solution how to get the money for my grandmother.
Lisa: That's good. She still remembers me right? I really miss eating her food. She literally makes the best hotteok.
Namji: Of course she does. Don't worry, she'll make some when she recovers.
*DING*
A notification pops on her phone screen. Namji checked to see a message from her dad.
'1 new message from dad'
Dad:
Namji-yah, when are you coming to the hospital? I bought some rice cakes for you and your grandmother. They're your favorite right?Namji scoffed in her mind. He's still acting like he hasn't done anything and that everything is normal.
Namji:
My shift isn't over. I'll pass.Lisa: Are you still angry at your dad?
Namji: How can I not be unnie?
Lisa: I know it takes time to forgive someone. Just know that you can't stay mad at him forever. He's your father.
Namji: Unnie, I can't just forgive him just for him to leave me again and give all his attention to his second family. He never asked if I was ok. He never asked how I was feeling. My dad might as well forgot that I am his daughter.

Namji finally went to the hospital at night. She knew that her dad wouldn't be there anymore at this time.
Namji: Halmeoni, I'm here.
Grandmother: Why are you so late Namji? Your dad already left.
Namji: I just....had to finish something very important.
Grandmother: He left some rice cakes for you, dear. It's over there.
She pointed at the plastic bag placed on the chair. Namji decided to take it. It would be waste if she didn't. She noticed a small sticky note on the container.
'Such a shame I didn't get to see you today :( I picked your favorite flavor. Eat well. I miss you'
Without realizing, Namji was already shedding tears. She missed her dad too and it breaks her heart that he was always apart from her.
Grandmother: Namji is everything ok?
Namji: *quickly wipes her tears* Y-yeah, I'm just happy because of the rice cakes.

Soobin pulled up his sleeve before he started to slowly pick up the shattered glass pieces. His dad was already asleep in the living room.
Suddenly, Soobin started to cry silently when he remembered his mother. Her smile used to take all his fears away. He wiped his tears harshly and told himself not to cry.
The glass cut through his hand and he hissed in pain. He stared at his bleeding hand while sobbing. He needed someone's support right now.
