They've found us. haven't they?
"TBATB gang?" The girl questions.
Yeah, the gang without guns.
"Jade, it's Emily." Daisy whispers.
"The voice." She adds.
But the face?
"Did you get a face transplant, Emily?" I say softly.
She drags us outside. Then she removed the mask.
Wow, it fitted so well..
"Wow." Daisy and I says.
"And I got one for Tessa. It'd not disturb her breath or anything. It just feels so well. It's just a face mask that fits human features and her colour. It'd help you and your grandma get her out." She explained then put the mask back on.
Daisy already updated her on the new stuff."Thanks, you're lifesaver. Jade and I have been thinking of a make over session that can change her face." Daisy said
"Many people doesn't know her but I brought it just in case since her pictures might have already gone viral in this state with the missing tag." Emily says while checking something in her phone. She misses her phone, I bet.since she didn't get to use it during her ride. She's a phone addict.
"Fill me on it." Daisy said before I snatch the mask and went in to dress Tessa. It fitted perfectly.
"Wow." I mouthed.
"Where did it come from? Why do I have to wear it?" I ignore her and she didn't try to take it off. I packed her little clothes that she made Daisy wash every day in this four days. I packed crunchy bread and biscuit for her.
"Am i going home? Oh no, why?" She cried as she saw me pack for her.
I'm good at packing things, if you haven't noticed because, we moved a lot. We were here then we moved to San Francisco, then to Europe, then to Nigeria for a month, then back here and to Fresno, California. I'm here tho.
"Not home." I sigh. Daisy would have explained better but she's too busy talking right now. I explained however, whatever came out of my head, it did not leave her crying tho. She understood.
Daisy came inside, she hugged her.
"I'd miss you Mary."
"Me too." Daisy said breaking the hug.
"Dave, I beg you with everything you love, don't sleep on the road." Daisy pleaded. I nod.
Emily was outside waiting for us.Did I mention that she had her mask on.
She dropped us at the airport. I didn't forget to get some cash.********
I swear, I know it's only Daisy's prayers that kept me alive. I know, I put the tracker in her dress. The one that changes the direction and leaves a wrong direction when she's tracked. Alright. We were checked at the airport. We got away but the man was suspecting something creepy I bet, he kept looking at us. He inspected us the second time with a machine. He even asked me how I'm related to the girl. I told him that she was my sister before he finally let us go. Sparing me glares. I thank God that Daisy gave Tessa 'the tea'. That guaranteed a question free journey and a sleeping little girl.
I met grandma in the airport at California. I handed Tessa over to her after she had flattered me with how much I've grown. I fought the urge to go and see my parents. The thought that filled my mind was that 'they're in this state right now. Just go see them.'
On a second thought, I was like 'What if they don't let me go back? Daisy would be broken.' I didn't go to them. I went back to Daisy.
