CHAPTER 4

By 5pm we can finally leave work. Umakyat na ako sa office ni Val para sa dinner plans namin. Pagkarating ko sa lobby sinalubong ako ng kanyang secretary. Her name's Aida.

"Hi. Can you call Val please? "

"Kanina pa nag-out sa sir Miss".

That freak! Umakyat pa ako dito!Fine. Hindi nga naman siya umoo kaya sige na nga di na ako magtatampo.

KINABUKASAN nakasabay ko papasok ng building si Val. "You ghosted me last night"

Hindi niya ako pinansin at nagpatuloy lang sa paglalakad towards the elevator. "Hey come on! I just wanna have dinner with you! Wala namang magagalit diba? As much as I know wala ka namang girlfriend kaya bat di mo na lang ako paunlakan? "

Pumasok na siya sa elevator at sumunod naman ako. Pagkaharap nya I saw him smirking,still not looking at me.

"Why do you want to have dinner with me? "

How manhid! "Well duh I just told you yesterday I like you. Then you rejected my invitation. Was that a subtle rejection? "

"I didn't reject you"

Okay he's so magulo. "So ano? You're confusing me! You didn't want to have dinner with me then you're telling me you're not rejecting me? "

Hindi niya parin ako sinasagot hanggang sa nakarating na ako sa floor namin. I rolled my eyes and went out of the elevator. I didn't glance at him but I stopped when I heard him talk.

"6pm. Meet me at the parking lot"

I looked back but before I can see his the lift was closed. Naglalakad ako papuntang cubicle with my winning smile. My mood was very good the whole time at walang ibang pumpasok sa isip ko kundi ang dinner mamaya. Pati si Jane na weird out sakin kakangiti ko.

TUMAYO na ako 5:45pm pa lang. I don't wanna be late. Gusto ko magpaimpress sa kaniya but when I arrived he was already there waiting for me at the hood of his car. He's on his white sleeves rolled up to his elbows partnered with grey slacks and his leather shoes. Bukas din ang tatlong butones ng dress shirt niya kaya napapatingin ako sa dibdib niya. How I want to rest my head there.

I smiled at him and he just nodded at me while opening the shotgun seat. Pumasok na ako doon at pinanood siya umikot papuntang driver's seat.

"Why did you agree to have dinner with me? "

"Why? Did you change your mind? "

"Uhm no. Don't take it that way. Just curious parang biglaan kasi. Anyways enough of that. Where do you wanna dine? "

"I know this good restaurant. La Bernardino, heard of that? "

Hindi ko na siya nasagot dahil may tumawag sa kaniya. Patingin tingin lang ako sa bintana at sa braso niya. He looks so hot while driving, the veins on his arms looks like they want to pop out and root me in his arms. After the phone call he glanced at me kaya umiwas ako.

"It's rude to stare you know."

I blushed and ignored his statement. Totoo naman yun so it's useless for me to deny that. Pagkarating namin nauna na akong bumaba sa kaniya dahil sa hiya at pumasok na sa restaurant. I heard him laugh kaya mas lalo kong binilisan ang lakad ko. I was about to find us a table nang bigla niya akong hinila sa waist ko and whispered on my ear.

"You're going the wrong way" then he chuckled sexily. Mas lalo tuloy pumula ang pisngi ko. Umupo na kami sa pinakadulo ng restaurant kung saan wala masyadong tao. Well I know he likes to keep his privacy.
