Jughead and Betty drove to her house in complete silence, neither of them knowing what to say.

It didn't really bother Betty, she was in deep thought anyways. She was afraid of what her mother might say or do. She was afraid of what Sarah would do. Her head was spinning more and more as they were getting closer to her house.

Betty was suddenly snapped out of her thoughts when Jughead broke the utter silence. "Penny for your thoughts?"

Betty sighed. "I'm just kind of nervous to see my mom and sister."

Jughead looked over at Betty, shaking his head. "You shouldn't be. They were the ones in the wrong, not you."

"But none of this would of happened if I didn't overreact and splash Sarah with a cup filled with God knows what." Betty stated, starting to feel even more anxious.

She knew this was probably her fault, she plashed Sarah in the face with the drink and made a big scene.

She dreaded going back home.

"Betty, you had every right to do that, what Sarah said was not okay." Jughead said, focusing his full attention on Betty.

Betty sighed. "I guess you're right."

"And when you get home you're gonna stand up for yourself and not let them think you're in the wrong, okay?" Jughead said, still looking Betty's direction.

Betty looked at him and raised an eyebrow. "Well I won't be able to do anything if you don't start looking back at the road. You might crash us before we even get there."

Jughead chuckled and looked back at the road.

The rest of the ride they rode in silence, listening to the wind that blew outside. Betty then began wondering what she was even gonna say to her mom.

Hey mom, sorry I was out all night. I was at a Southside bar that you told me never to go to my whole life, and I met a Serpent who let me get drunk and then I almost got killed by the Serpent leader, but luckily he only put a scrape on my arm because Jughead came in just in time and saved me and then I spent the night as his house.
Not that bad right?

Betty sighed, she knew she was in trouble.

She then suddenly remembered she planned on asking Jughead about him being a Southsider―the king nonetheless, and there's no better time in asking than right now when both of them are currently sitting in silence.

Betty opened her mouth to begin speaking, but she realized Jughead was pulling into her driveway. She groaned, knowing she would probably forget to ask him about it later.

Jughead looked at her and chuckled. "Come on, it's gonna be okay."

That's not why I'm groaning, Einstein. I'm groaning because I keep forgetting to ask you about your Southside reputation!

Betty sighed, not really seeing the point in bringing up the conversation when she already had her own problem to deal with.

Betty looked at Jughead. "Wish me luck."

Jughead sympathetically smiled and patted her shoulder. "Good luck, you brave soul."

Betty giggled as she opened the car door and got out, but before she closed it, Jughead called out to her.
