Betty walked into Pops and sat down at the counter, waiting for Pop Tate.

After a while of sitting there, she smiled when she saw him walk out of the kitchen area. "Hey, Pop."

"Betty, how's my favorite customer doing?" Pop Tate asked as he made his way to the counter.

"I'm surprised you know which one I am." Betty giggled.

"Well, I've learned to listen to what my gut says. If I get a happy vibe when one of you twins walk in here, I know it's you. But, if I get a weird vibe like a....dark vibe, I know it's Sarah." Pop smiled. "And there's no way I could mix up that beautiful smile of yours."

Betty smiled, but her eyebrows soon furrowed. "Wait, dark vibe? What does that mean?"

Pop sighed and leaned himself on the counter in front of her. "Your sister....I don't know what it is, but every single time I see her, I always get this bad feeling."

"Really?" Betty asked with a raised eyebrow.

Pop nodded. "Yeah, and I don't think she's up to any good. She never is." He stated. "Anywho, what can I do for you today?"

"Uh...." Betty lost her train of thought, her mind was set on what Pop said. "Car....money―job." She managed to get out.

"I'm guessing you need a job?" Pop chuckled.

Betty nodded. "Yes please."

"Well, I would be honored to give you a job here at the diner. How early can you start?"

Betty smiled. "Well, I have a few more hours before school starts so....I can work for a few hours today."

"That'd be great, Betty. I have an extra uniform in my office that you can wear and then you can start taking orders." Pop said with that warm smile of his.

Betty nodded with a smile as she got up out of her seat and followed Pop to his office.

"Here you go, this should fit you." Pop said as he handed her an outfit.

Betty nodded. "Thank you, Pop."

After Betty got changed into her outfit, she walked to the front of the diner and got ready to take orders. She grabbed a pen and pad and walked to the door that leads them from behind the counter, but jumped when she saw someone was in front of her, blocking her way.

Betty looked at the person and saw it was no other than Veronica Lodge, standing there with her arms crossed.

"What are you doing here?" She asked coldly.

Betty cleared her throat, she didn't want to show any signs of fear or any signs that Veronica intimidated her in any way. "I work here now."

Not that the outfit gave that away clear as day or anything.

Veronica removed her arms that were crossed over her chest down to her hips. "I don't care."

"Then why'd you ask?" Betty retorted.

Veronica rolled her eyes. "Because I can."

Betty furrowed her eyebrows. "You're confusing." She stated as she walked around Veronica to start taking orders.

Veronica followed closely behind Betty as Betty approached her first table. "I'm confusing? Says the one who literally acted like the victim, and then put Sarah on blast the other day."

"I didn't post that tweet Veronica, if you don't believe me, then you don't, but I'm not going to keep on explaining myself to no one. I know what I did and didn't do." Betty turned around from Veronica and smiled at who she guessed were a couple from the way they were holding hands over the table. "Hello, what can I get for you guys today?"
