     (Y/N) POV

I yawned and groggily picked up my phone to look at the time.

     7:47 AM

Oh you have got to be kidding me. The universe really is against me. Why did this have to happen to me? Why didn't Ari wake me up?

     And then I remembered.

"Hey (Y/N), I have a doctor's appointment early in the morning tomorrow so I'm not going to be there to wake you up. Please make sure that you get to school on time."

"Don't worry, I've got it handled!"

Oh me, how wrong you were.

I jumped out of bed and started to throw on my school uniform. I ran to the bathroom and brushed my hair, not having time to do anything else and I brushed my teeth.

I rushed downstairs and looked longingly into the kitchen. No breakfast for me.

I locked the front door behind me and looked at the time.

     7:54 AM

There's no way in hell that I'm going to make it to school on time. I'm fast but not that fast.

I was making my way down the road when I heard the roar of an engine to my right.

"You woke up late didn't you?" I heard a familiar voice ask me.

I looked up and saw Kyosuke sitting on a motorcycle with a helmet on his head.

My face flushed. Damn it me, stop doing that.

"Yeah." I rubbed the back of my head in an embarrassed manner.

He handed me an extra helmet that he had.

"Come on, I'll give you a ride."

I looked at the motorcycle warily. I've never been on one of these before. What if I fall off? Kyosuke wouldn't let me fall. I trust him.

I gave him a thankful smile, put the helmet on, and got onto the motorcycle, behind him.

I snaked my arms around his torso. Wow that's some muscle. Stop me.

     "You ready?"

     "I guess."

And just like that, we were off. I could barely hear a thing since we were going so fast and the wind was producing a lot of noise.

I squeezed his waist tighter and leaned my helmeted head on his back. I held on for dear life. The adrenaline kept me from blushing at our closeness.

After what seemed like an eternity, the bike came to a stop. I hadn't noticed before but I had squeezed my eyes shut. I opened my eyes and removed my hands from around him.

I got off of the motorcycle and my legs felt all wobbly. Whoa that was weird. Is this normal? Probably not.

I took off the helmet that Kyosuke had let me use. Boy my hair was messy and I had helmet head. Nevermind, it was kind of a look.

Kyosuke on the other hand, his hair looked as gorgeous as ever. It was hardly messed up. This is injustice. How come the universe in constantly against me?

"It's terrifying the 1st time," Kyosuke told me as he took the helmet from me.

"Honestly, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."
