     (Y/N) POV

We were at the train station and I felt like crying. But I didn't because I couldn't do that to him.

The clock ticked closer and closer to the time that he would board that hunk of metal and leave.

The train pulled up and I looked into those beautiful grey eyes.

"Well, this is it." I tried to give him a reassuring smile but I don't know how convincing it was.

     "I guess it is."

He pulled me into a tight hug and I immediately responded by squeezing him tightly.

     "I'll miss you, my love."

     "I'll miss you too Kyosuke."

He pulled away and kissed my forehead.

"I'll call you every day and I'll visit as often as I can."

I nodded and smiled at him, trying to hold back my tears.

"Go and kick some ass, babe."

He smiled before kissing me on the lips and then he boarded the train. I remained at the platform as I saw the train fade out into the distance.

I continued to stare in the direction that the train left and then I felt a hand be placed on my shoulder.

"You ready to go?" I heard my best friend call out to me. I heard my phone ding and I looked down at it.

     Kyosuke: I love you.

I smiled and typed in a quick response.

     Me: I love you too.

I smiled brightly and just nodded as he walked me back home.

     A few months later

"Defending champions, Honan Academy, are at the finals to defend their titles against Mihashi, who lost last year to Honan in the Trial Tour. Let's wait and see how this turns out!"

We were 'backstage', waiting to be called to the course. I looked at my team, which had not changed since last year. I saw Emiko and Ari sitting on the ground together holding hands. They had gotten together around 2 months ago. It had taken forever but they got there.

"Aren't you two cute?" I teased them and they both glared at me.

"(Y/N), I don't need this from you." Ari stuck out his tongue at me.

I laughed in response. "Look, you gave Kyosuke and I hell when we started dating so I need my revenge."

     He rolled his eyes.

"Speaking of Kuga, is he coming to watch the race?" Asuga tilted her head. She had gotten a little taller and it took a while to adjust to her new height.

I smiled sadly. "No, he said that he got held up at practice so he probably won't make it."

Asuga pat my shoulder in a comforting manner and I smiled at her. She was always kind. The team would be fine in her hands. The new captain would no doubt be great.

The boys finished running. Honan had won for the 2nd year in a row. It was time to extend our streak too.

We made our way over to our positions and that's when it hit me. It was my last End of Summer.
