Chapter 20

     (Y/N) POV

     My heart felt like it was floating and I was trying to contain my happiness.

     Kyosuke's slim fingers were still intertwined with my own. His hands were soft and a little cold, which felt really nice.

     "You seem happy." I heard my new boyfriend chuckle. Oh my God, he's my boyfriend now. This was insane.

     "I am." I gave him a bright smile.

     Ari POV

     I wasn't too worried about my missing best friend since Kuga was going to look for her and I trusted him.

     "Why do you think they're taking so long?" Emiko questioned.

     My best friend instincts activated and I had a suspicion.

     "They're probably making out or something." I shrugged.

     Emiko looked amused. "Yeah right."

     "I'm serious!"

     Everyone in the tent was listening to our conversation and they just shook their heads.

     "Trust me, I know (Y/N)."

     Suddenly, the opening of the tent widened and two figures walked inside.

     It was Kuga and (Y/N). And they were holding hands. Not the platonic handhold but the hand-holding with the intertwined fingers. (Y/N) and I had established that holding someone's hand without lacing your fingers is platonic but we agreed that lacing fingers means that there is a relationship.

     "(Y/N), we're glad you're ok!" Riku exclaimed.

     She gave him a smile. She seemed oddly happy.

     "You guys made out didn't you?" I asked bluntly as I looked at the two.

     Kuga tilted his head to the side. "How did you know? Were you there?"

     Everyone looked in shock. (Y/N)'s face was red. She needed to get that under control. 

     Emiko looked at me in shock.

     I shrugged. "What can I say? I have a best friend's intuition."

     "So does that mean...?" Heath started.

     "Yes, Kyosuke and I are together."

     Everyone started cheering and the new couple looked confused.

     "Took you two long enough. Everyone was waiting for this to happen." I said as I pat (Y/N) on the shoulder. 

     I turned to Kyosuke. "Good luck, dude, you'll need it."

     I felt (Y/N) punch my arm. "Aren't you suppose to give him the talk? Like you know, 'I'll kill you if you hurt her', instead of insulting me!"

     I laughed and rubbed her head. "No, because he won't, you know that right?"

     Her eyes widened slightly and smiled at her boyfriend. 

     "Yeah, I know."

     "Plus, bothering you is fun." She punched me as I said that.

     (Y/N) POV

     "Well, we should start heading out." Heath started to lead the boys out of the tent. My team wasn't leaving yet since we were running second but we were going to walk to the stadium after them so that we could watch the race.
