Chapter 23

     (Y/N) POV

     The guys were waiting for us by the front entrance and Kakyoin's team had shown us the way out.

     "Thank you all for the invitation. We had fun." I smiled at the team.

     "We won't lose next time." Amatsu looked at me with a smirk on his face.

     "If you say so." I laughed.

     My team shook hands with the others and all of us, even Kakyoin's runners, had smiles on our faces.

     I reached Tomoe, shook his hand, and smiled.

     "I see that you and Kyosuke seem happy together."

     My eyes widened. "How did you know?"

     It was now his turn to laugh. "Please, I'd know if two of my friends were dating."

     I relaxed.

     "I'm happy for the two of you."

     "Thanks, Tomoe."

     "One more thing, thank you."

     I tilted my head and looked at him questioningly.

     "For what?"

     "For looking after my brother."

      I smiled at him. "Of course."

     We said our final goodbyes but before we could leave Mr. Sakurai spoke up.

    "(Y/N), my offer still stands."

     I gave him an apologetic look. "I'm sorry but my answer remains the same and will continue to remain the same."

     He nodded in understanding and my team and I started walking to the entrance.

     "What offer was he talking about?" Emiko looked at me with curiosity filling her eyes.

     I shrugged. "He told me to transfer to Kakyoin."

     I was met with an eerie silence. It was truly the calm before a storm. 

     All at once, they started to yell at me.

     "What do you mean, transfer to Kakyoin?!"

     "Are you really gonna leave us?!"

     "Why didn't you tell us?!"

     "When did this happen?!"

     I forgot how crazy my team truly was.

     Once it was quiet enough, I spoke up.

     "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you guys sooner but I didn't want you to worry. He brought the transfer up during the time trial but I obviously said no. I couldn't just leave you guys like that."

     It got quiet once again and I felt myself tense up.

     They all looked astonished and I knew what was coming.

     "Prepare yourself," Ari whispered to me as he stepped away, putting enough distance between us.

     I felt myself be tackled and I immediately fell to the floor. They were saying things like 'we love you too' and 'you're the best'.

     After being smothered for a few minutes, we finally managed to walk out of the venue. I ran up to Kyosuke, intertwined our hands and pecked him on the lips.
