     (Y/N) POV

It was the day before the finals and for some strange reason, my adrenaline had already started to kick in. I was really excited that we had made it all the way to the finals. I was practically vibrating since I couldn't stay still.

"Stop being weird and calm down. Save your energy for tomorrow." At that moment, Ari came in through my window with his stride bag. We had decided that he would be staying the night before the finals. He probably wanted to since he knew that I would be losing it.

"I'm trying but its harder than you think."

I was sitting on my bed when my phone rang. I had hoped that it was Kyosuke since we hadn't talked since my nightmare phone call but sadly, it wasn't.

I picked up and put it on speaker. Ari looked at me questioningly but I just gave him a look that said you'll see.

"Well, if it isn't everyone's favorite volleyball player," I said into the phone, and as soon as I said that, Ari knew who was on the phone.

"Well, I'm honored. It's been a while. I'm guessing Ari's there too." The guy on the other side of the phone said.

"I can't believe that I'm talking to the famous Kuroo Tetsurou," Ari said in a mocking manner.

He just laughed, "Kenma's here too." As soon as he said that, a quiet hello was heard.

"What's with the sudden call? I thought you were too good for us," I tease him jokingly. The truth was that all of us were very busy with our club activities so it was hard to talk often.

Ari, Tetsurou, Kenma, and I all went to the same middle school so we've known each other a while. Unfortunately, we went our separate ways in high school but we did talk every once in a while.

"Well, I heard through the grapevine that your team made it to the finals and the race just so happens to be against our school." Tetsurou was right, the race tomorrow was against Nekoma.

Nekoma was one of the best teams in Tokyo. They were extremely good. So good that we had lost against them in the End of Summer semi-finals. This was why I was so excited. I wanted my revenge.

"Yeah. We'll be taking the win this time." Ari said. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he was just as upset about our last loss as I was.

"You might lose again. Either way, Kenma and I will be watching the race so put on a show." I could practically hear the smirk coming from him.

"Whatever, we'll see you at the match. Good luck dealing with him, Kenma." Ari had a teasing friendship with the volleyball captain so they were always bothering each other.

"Thanks, I need it," Kenma said as if he hadn't had any sleep in forever.

We hung up and the excitement seemed to lower a little. A little.

"We're winning tomorrow, no matter what," I said. I was determined to win.

"That goes without saying." Ari rubbed my head and laid down on the other side of my bed.

We decided to go to sleep early so we turned off the lights. It took me a while but I eventually closed my eyes and drifted off.

     Beep Beep Beep

"Tell me the clock is lying," I groaned from my side of the bed.

"Nope, time to get up." Ari practically dragged me out of bed.
