Author's Note: Hi, first of all I wanna say thank you, if you gave this story your attention! It means a lot, because it's made with love.
However, I just wanted to say, that whenever I'll name a song during a chapter, I'll put it at the beginning, because I for my part, am always interested in what music the characters in the story listen to, but then I'm too lazy to look it up, so that makes it easier. That's everything.
Take care! 💕"Having a healthy big breakfast is the best way to start the day it says on page 13," Vanessa read out excitedly and gave us judging looks over her reading glasses, as Lissa was having cupcakes for breakfast and I only had a black coffee.
"Well, uhm, it's just a book." Vanessa laughed awkwardly. "I mean if you feel energized enough like that." She gestured at our food choices, or in my case the lack of it.
"So, uh, tomorrow we're having the ball isn't that exciting?" She clapped her hands and giggled. "Your cousin Anna will come too, Marie."
I just nodded. I hadn't seen her in what felt like forever. Anna was a really kind person actually, but my feelings in general weren't as enthusiastic, because I didn't like meeting so many people at once.
"Okay cool," I mumbled.Lissa and I were chilling in my bedroom and she looked through my sketchbook.
"You really have a thing for horror, huh?"
"A bit maybe. Is it so obvious?"
"Oh no, not really, I mean like this was disturbing."
She pointed to a charcoal drawing, that depicted a girl having spiders crawl out of her mouth.
"Hm. Well, I just can't make myself draw living room deco art, you know. I want to create expressive pictures. Like if you make disturbing art or thoughtful art or aggressive art or sad art, it does something with people, it's a small piece of immortality, as you get inside people's heads. No one thinks much about a picture depicting flowers, it's nice, so you don't have to give it much thought."
"And what if I only thought about flower pictures?"
"Well, you're weird anyways, so I guess that doesn't count." I said with a grin.
I knew that she just loved winding me up.
She looked deep into my eyes with her blue ones, then asked:
"Will you draw me some time?"
I got lost in her eyes and the air felt a bit electric.
I blinked at her, feeling mesmerized.
"Uhm, I guess so."
She started playing with a strand of my hair.
"When?" She asked.
"Whenever you want to."
We didn't disconnect our gaze.
"How about this evening?"
"Okay."
She made me forget how to breathe with the look she gave me.Lissa wanted to go to the lake again, so we did as she pleased.
"Want a strawberry?" I asked.
"Yes."
I wanted to give her the box filled with strawberries, but she simply opened her mouth and looked at me expectantly.
Hesitantly I took one of the strawberries and fed it to her. But of course, she wouldn't make it easy for me, she never did. Just when I wanted to pull my hand away, she started sucking on my finger.
I looked at her bewildered.
She was messing with my head and I felt a bit turned on, which I didn't want to admit.
When she let go of my finger, she giggled.
"Sorry, you're so sweet, I mistook you for a strawberry."
"I'm not sweet," I argued.
Lissa looked thoughtful for a moment.
"Hm...I'd say you are sweet, very sweet indeed, just like honey, but poisoned."
"How poetic," I said dryly.
"Wanna listen to some music?" I suggested.
"Sure."
"The Killing Moon" by Echo And The Bunnymen started playing.
Lissa got up and started fumbling with her dress.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Well, what does it look like? I'm trying to get out of this dress."
"But why?"
"So you can draw me. Now help me with the corset."
My mouth felt completely dry and I got nervous.
"Uh, you want me to draw you naked?" I asked in disbelief.
"Obviously, duh. Now help me."
My hands were shaking slightly, which made it even more difficult to undo the corset.
But while trying to undo it, I noticed scars on her back.
"Uh, Lissa, what happened to your back?"
She spun around to face me.
"It's none of your business, it's private!" She hissed. "Now don't ruin the mood!"
I gulped, confronting her about anything personal, surely proved to be quite difficult.
I made a mental note to myself to try and ask her about it again another time.
When I had undone the corset she slipped out of her dress.
And I felt like someone had punched me in the face or something. I could only stare at her body, she looked like Venus in Botticelli's painting. Her silky pale skin, shining against the moonlight, her small perky breasts, her cute little tummy, her loins and - oh God!
I held my hand in front of my eyes, while blushing.
"How are you supposed to draw me without looking?"
She stepped closer to me and closer until she was right in front of me. Our bodies touched and part of me wished I wasn't stuck in so many layers of fabric, the other part of me scolded me for just thinking that.
She put her fingers under my chin and tilted my head up. I still covered my eyes with my hand.
"Being all shy and coy doesn't come in handy right now. Just let go of all that," then she stopped talking and I wondered what she planned next, when I felt soft lips touching mine.
It was a simple kiss on the lips, but to me, it felt like so much more than that, like galaxies colliding. A while ago I'd have described myself as anti-romantic, but now, oh God, I was so hopelessly romantic, there was no saving me anymore. I was sure I had fallen for this girl, because being kissed by her was like two weather fronts causing lightning and thunder and all of me was just internally begging for her to mess me up completely and without mercy.
