My mom was standing in the living room as if it was my first day or something.  "Mom, stop looking at me like that," I said.

"Sorry, I am just happy to see you smiling, and getting back to your regular routine," she said.

"Does this mean RoRo won't be home to watch cartoons?" Riley asked.

"Or make cookies with?" Raven asked.

I got down to their level looking into their puppy dog eyes... "You both gave me all the energy I needed, I have to go back to school so I can graduate and become a grown-up... just like you both will.

Zane was outside waiting for me, he met me at the steps. "How do you feel?" he asked.

"Better now that I am seeing you're fine ass." Zane bit his bottom lip, grabbing me by my thigh and kissing me.

"We should go..."

......

It's been a long three months, but here I am finally coming back to school. I sighed...

"I'm right here with you," Zane said squeezing my hand. He smiled and kissed me. "And you know I would never leave your side," Jazzy said.

I was caught off guard by Principal Smith who was standing in the hallway surrounded by most of the student body of Little Valley High

"Rowan, it was only right that the entire school and myself welcome you back to Little View." Principal Smith said.

I don't know when it happened but I was overwhelmed with emotion. Lincoln and his friends were expelled, of course, their parents threatened to sue and destroy the reputation of Principal Smith, trying to involve his relationship with my mother. He held his ground and was victorious.

Gabriel was standing off to the side, we haven't really talked since, but it eventually came out that he had nothing to do with what happened, Lincoln knew I would come if the note was from Gabriel... and I fell for it.

"You look good," he said.

"Thank you."

"You and Zane... finally official?" he asked.

"Yes, we are," I said.

"You deserve to be happy, that could never be me... and you deserve to be showed off."

"Thanks, Gabriel, it was fun... what we had, guess all good things have to end."

"Agreed, plus I am leaving for headed for The University of North Carolina."

"Gabriel, that is amazing! Congratulations," I said.

Should we hug, or shake hands... instead I pat him on his shoulder.

We smiled and we parted ways.

Jazzy and I were headed to lunch, I stopped... It didn't take long for her to realize I wasn't right next to her.

"Hey, what's wrong?"

"Promise me when you are a platinum-selling rapper, that you won't forget about me... that we will always remain best friends?"

Jazzy grabbed my hand, "baby boy, you are stuck with me until the day I die!" she said. We hugged. "And stop being sensitive, it's not a senior year yet." typical Jazzy.

Zane was already stuffing his face, he finally looked up and smiled at me.

"Sloppy Joe must be good today?" He made a face and kissed me... "Ewww," I yelled.

"You love it... or at least that's what you said a few weeks ago," I said.

If it was possible for a black boy to turn red, here was the moment. "ZANE!" I yelled.

Jazzy looked up and how mouth almost hit the lunch table.

"Shit... you lost your virginity and DIDNT CALL YOUR BEST FRIEND!"

"Girl, I know I should have said something."

"Forget it, it happened you are forgiven... how was it?" she asked.

"From the way, he moaned, and can't forget him digging his nails in my back... I think it was pretty good... excellent if I say so," Zane said.

.....

Zane had to make a stop by his house before we headed to Jazzy's they were working on some music, and wanted me to hear it.

He told me to come in with him, so I followed. His god mom was sitting there with an older looking black man.. "Willa, whats going on?" he asked.

"Son, I am here to take you home." it had to be his dad... he stood up.
