"Seriously, a white boy?"

Jazzy said it with concern as she leaned against my locker. "He's the coolest though, I really never thought I would mess with a white boy, and then I met Jordan and he's different."

Jazzy shook her head trying to wrap her head around this, "Ro, I love you, and if you like Jordan...then you know I support you." she said.

"AND He better not play with you, or I will slice him," Jazzy said and stormed away into class. 

The funny thing I know she was serious, when it came to me Jazzy didn't play around.

Zane came by my locker, leaning against it as Jazzy headed into class.

"How's that swine?" he asked referring to Jordan.

"Jordan is fine, thank you... has Eli painted your nails yet?" I asked.

I must have caught him off guard because he didn't have anything smart to say and that is rare in the short time I've known him. I could smell the weed and his cologne mixed, he obviously got a fresh hair cut... he looked extra fine today.

"What," he said smiling mischievously. 

"Nothing, I have to get ready for this planning meeting." 

"Whatcha got going on?" 

"A weekend getaway for the juniors." 

"That sounds dope, sign me and Eli up." 

"Of course I will, you have to participate in the fundraises though." 

Zane shrugged. "I can do that, keep me posted." 

He walked away and disappeared into the crowd.

He knows how to make my fucking heart flutter and I don't know how to feel about it.

Jordan Young was charming and thoughtful, It's just too good to be true, it's been a few weeks since the party, he constantly texts me and he calls. Not to mention he is on the basketball team, so he is occupied. Here he is at my house on a Saturday night watching family feud with me and my mom while my sisters play on the floor.

"That Steve Harvey is a trip," mom said.

"Mrs. Grey, can I help you clean up anything?" Jordan asks.

"No, sweetie... I am ok."

Jordan stood up and he smiled at me "I should probably get going."

"Thanks for coming over, I am sure it wasn't ideal."

"But it was fun, your family is cool... You, Rowan Grey, are even cooler."

Jordan pulled me close to him, and we kissed.

"OOhh... Ro-Ro has a boyfriend" Raven said.

"And he's white?"

Riley, Raven and I turned our heads so fast.

"Dad?"

"DADDY!" Riley and Raven yelled as they jumped into his arms.

"Wow, this Is weird."

"Mr. Grey, I'm Jordan Young" he stuck his hand out and my dad smiled then shook it.

"Honey!" My mom jumped into my dad's arms, he has been on a business trip for about a month.

"I think I came back just in time." He said.

"Dad, welcome home." He reached out and hugged me. My dad loves me, I know he does! Sometimes I think me being gay is a bit much for him still, and it seems like he really threw himself into his work since I came out, he spends long hours in the office.
