Clem groaned a small bit as she sat up.

God.

The same white walls around her, perfectly clean and sanitized. Machinery every where, and a big window on one of the walls, with a few couches for guests.

The hospital.

She looked around, finally noticing Lee, Carley, Luke, and AJ sitting by her side.

They looked up, meeting her eyes as they all sighed of relief.

"Thank god you're okay." Lee said, rubbing Clem's face. Clem felt her own head, realizing it was wrapped in bandages and she didn't have her hat on.

"AJ.. is okay?" Clem asked as AJ waved to her, a small smile tugging at his lips.

"Luckily you both are. AJ got out with a few bruises and scrapes, but other than that, he's fine. They ran tests and found no head injury. You have a small concussion, but not bad at all." Lee explained.

Clem sighed.

"So.. what were you doing driving our car?" Carley asked, a hint of what Clem thought was disappointment in her voice.

"I.. we.."

"We had fun. That's all that matters." AJ said seriously.

"No, all that matters is that you didn't get hurt." Luke said, looking down at his younger brother.

"Still. It was the funnest I've had in a while." AJ said, arms now crossed.

"Me too." Clem said, giving a small smile to the younger boy.

. . .

"So they both are being sent?" A CPS worker asked Lee and Carley. Lee and Carley both hesitantly nodded as AJ and Clem came down the steps with their bags packed. Mainly of clothes, and a few other important things.

"So the boy.. Alvin Junior, he participated in the crashing of five cars in the last two nights, has major anger issues, uses death threats, and overreacts?" The CPS worker asked, checking AJ's files.

"Yes. He's six, and.." Carley tried to say.

"Okay. Clementine, she was the host of the crashing of cars on purpose, drug abuse, alcohol abuse, and she smokes?"

"Yes. sixteen." Lee affirmed, letting out a sad sigh.

"You do know that we can send them to JUVY, right?" The CPS worker asked, a raised eyebrow as he slightly looked up from his papers.

"No, no, no! They were neighbors cars, and they decided not to press charges." Lee said quickly. The CPS worker only nodded a bit as he thought.

"Okay. Come with me kids. I'll be dropping you off at your new school." The CPS worker finally said, breaking the deafening silence.

"Yes sir." Clem said in a sigh.

. . .

Clem watched as the home became smaller and smaller, feeling herself slowly fading away again. How was she ever going to find Marshall, now?

When Clem and AJ arrived, the CPS worker walked them inside and signed them into it, leaving them shortly after.

"Why hello. You two must be Clementine Marsh and Alvin Everett, right?" The headmaster asked. Clem and AJ shyly nodded, having not wanted to speak.

"Great, my name is Scott Ericson."

"Hi." AJ said, a little grumpily.

"Nice to.. uh.. meet you." Clem muttered, earning a kind smile from the headmaster.
