Chapter 17

Clem opened her eyes as she laid on the bunk bed to her room.

Luckily, she and AJ hadn't had classes yesterday - or today, since they still need time to get settled in.

She was in room 201, sharing with, Violet, Sophie and Brody.

AJ was in room 204, sharing with Willy, Tenn, and Louis. Clem felt relieved to know that AJ was sharing a room with Louis and Tenn - they seemed like nice friends for AJ. She would see him everyday anyhow.

However, her anxiety liked to kick in. Being away from Marshall, Lee, Carley, Luke, and AJ? She really didn't feel at home without a familiar face around.

Luckily, Sophie and Brody seemed nice enough, and she was lucky to be sharing with them. Violet, though, seemed to have a thing against her.

Clem sat up and watched Violet for a bit. Violet was sleeping, with Brody and Sophie already gone to who knows where.

Clem jumped a bit when she noticed Violet stirring awake, Clem quickly turning her head.

"What?" Clem heard Violets husky voice ask.

"Huh? Nothing." Clem said, grabbing her hat off of the nightstand next to her.

"Really? Cause it looks like you can't keep your fucking eyes off me.

"I.. what? That's.. insane." Clem said softly, fiddling with her wrist.

Clem could hear Violet puff from the bed next to her, standing up.

"What?" Violet asked roughly as Clem turned to look, slightly freezing in place.

"Hm? Oh, uh. Sorry." Clem said, quickly turning away as a pink dust filled her cheeks.

"You seriously need to stop eye fucking me. We just met, and I.. hate you." Violet explained, sending a shiver down Clem's spine.

"You.. is there a.. uh.."

"Spit it out."

"Well, its just.. is there a.."

"Oh come on. I don't have time for this." Violet said as she started to walk out of the room, leaving Clem disappointed.

"Ask Brody or Sophie or someone. I don't know - just ask someone who cares." Violet said as a final statement, closing the door behind her.

Clem sat a minute, before the door opened again.

"HEY CLEM!" AJ yelled as he burst through the door, giving Clem a 'good morning' hug.

"Hi AJ." Clem said, letting a small smile appear on her lips.

AJ stood back, smiling at Clem.

"How is your roommates?" Clem asked.

"They're good, Clem. Willy is.. uh.. kinda weird, but Tenn and Louis are nice!"

"That's good, kiddo."

"How about yours, Clem?"

"Sophie and Brody are nice. Violet kiiiinda hates me."

"How?"

"How?" Clem repeated the question, making sure she heard right.

"How can Violet not like you? You're great!" AJ said, jumping up and down.

"Wow.. I.. uh.. thanks." Clem said, a bit flustered as she rubbed her neck.

"Come on, Louis said to get you for breakfast!" Aj said, grabbing Clem's hand and practically dragging her out of the room.
