Kimberly's POV
"Night Mum," Sophie says as I leave her room. "Night sweetheart," I say with a small smile. I close her door and walk up to my room and I go to my bathroom and brush and floss my teeth. I get changed and put myself to bed.
Sophie's POV
I had a normal sleep until things felt like it was starting to feel bumpy. My dream about my mum and me had turned the other way and I opened my eyes in my dream and I saw myself in a dentist chair. I looked around and saw the dental assistant above me holding straps. "We have to strap you in, the doctor doesn't like squirming," the dental assistant says calmly. The dental assistant then starts strapping my arms down and straps me tightly across my stomach, making me also feel like throwing up. The dental assistant then straps my legs down and I look at her nervously. "Sorry this is a tradition for new patients," the dental assistant says calmly. The dental assistant then straps my head down so I couldn't move it. The dentist then comes in a white gown and black goggles and mask across their face. The chair was leaned back without a warning and they forced my mouth open and they rubbed their goggles and I could tell it was a girl. She looked throughout my mouth and tried to widen my mouth. I kept saying in my head - no stop it, it won't open more. She looked way too familiar like I was looking at myself in the future. And that was just it, I was looking at what looked like a twin of me. That's awfully strange cause I don't have a twin. She looked at my teeth and grabbed pliers and pulled on a tooth trying to get it out. It was excruciatingly painful. I screamed as loud as I could and she slapped me across my face. "Quiet," she snapped. I tried my hardest to open my eyes in real life but the dental assistant kept trying her hardest to keep them closed. Soon, I was out of the chair and the dentist and assistant were nowhere to be found. In front of me, I saw a lake and I walked up to it. I saw my reflection in the lake that then it flickered to a single figure standing over a table. As it flashed again, the figure became a figurine looking like me in dental scrubs. Not standing over a table but a body strapped to a dentist chair. It must have made sense, I would become her.
Soon I felt my body shaking and I heard my mum holding onto me tightly rocking me in her arms. "Hey Soph, you okay," my mum asks sympathetically. "When I walked into your room, I saw you rustling in your bed and you had heavy breathing, bad dream," my mum asks sympathetically. I nervously nod my head and my mum kisses my forehead. "You wanna tell what it was," my mum asks with a caring smile. "I I saw myself become what aunty Karlie was," I say nervously. "A dentist," my mum asks softly. "Yes, the kind that hurts people," I say hugging my mum tightly. "Sweetheart, Karlie doesn't hurt people," my mum says encouragingly. "I know but I became one that hurts people," I say nervously. "Aww, how about you talk to Karlie about this," my mum says encouragingly. "Wait I have to go to the dentist," I say nervously. "No but we're going over to her house later," my mum says encouragingly. "Oh okay," I say nervously.
