Charlie's fingers gently scrolled through her computer as she sat in the school library– an hour before school hours had ended, and Charlie would be kicked out.

"You look deep in thought," Theo commented on what Charlie was doing.

"I am." Charlie said back, her eyes trained on her computer screen.

"What are you doing?" Monroe asked as she looked over Charlie's shoulder.

"I'm trying to find out what I have to do to become famous and rich," Charlie pursed her lips. "I don't want to live on minimum wage for the rest of my life."

Monroe nodded. "You could always get a scholarship from baseball."

"I could do that," Charlie agreed. "I guess we'll just have to see."

Charlie, Monroe and Theo all walked from the library after the librarian told them they were closing for the weekend. Theo rambled about his drawings as Charlie leaned over to look at them, smiling every time he explained.

"I should go," Monroe smiled, "My mom's waiting all the way on the other side of campus. See you guys!"

Charlie and Theo said goodbye and continued their way toward the pick up and drop off area. Theo drove his own car, Charlie did not.

"I could always give you a ride," Theo suggested.

"No, sorry," Charlie shook her head. "Not today. My dad's picking me up."

"Ah, I see." Theo nodded, tossing his keys into each one of his hands. "Well, I'll see you on Monday."

"Bye Theo," Charlie waved back at the teenager.

After Charlie was done waving to Theo, she walked her way toward the white tesla that Luke owned. She opened the passenger door, threw her backpack in the back and sat down.

"Hello honey," Luke smiled, pulling up and out of the school parking area. "How was school?"

"It was alright," Charlie shrugged. "Are we still heading to the hospital?"

"Yes." Luke nodded, "I just need to pick things up and then we get to get groceries. Ashton was complaining about how much we don't go grocery shopping, so I figured we could go."

"Cool. Where are we going to shop?" Charlie asked, clicking the tesla screen to direct Spotify.

"Target, I figured. Maybe Trader Joes." Luke suggested. "Do you need anything from Target?"

"I need a new notebook for some research about my future, and I would rather do it on paper. I need to figure out some credics, and possibly running start." Charlie smiled.

"Running start?" Luke repeated, his eyes slightly widening. "Do you have a plan for your future?"

"Nope." Charlie hummed, "But I figured that I should figure it out. I'm 16 – I only have 2 years until I graduate."

"That's right," Luke nodded. "It's so soon. I've had you for such a short time, now I get to see you graduate and go to college."

"Don't get sappy, Luke," Charlie laughed. "It's fine. Honestly."

"I know." Luke frowned, pulling into the parking garage. Charlie and Luke emerged from the tesla and walked into the hospital – Luke said hi to a couple people as they approached the elevator.

When they entered the elevator, Luke noticed a black haired female doctor. Charlie noticed him hesitate and she immediately raised her eyebrow.

"Dr. Deaton," Luke greeted her. "I thought you had today off."

Dr. Deaton glanced at Charlie, sending her a small smile. "Paperwork. You know how it is."

"Ah yes." Luke nodded, turning to Charlie. "Deaton, this is my daughter – Charlotte."

Charlie extended her hand and Dr. Deaton shook it firmly. "It's lovely to meet you, Charlotte. I've heard so much about you. Luke speaks very highly,"

Charlie smiled as the elevator dinged to the floor Luke was getting off at. "It was nice to meet you, Dr. Deaton."

"Call me Sierra," Sierra smiled. "It was nice meeting you honey!"

Charlie and Luke waved to Sierra before Luke sped walk to his office. Charlie kept up. As they entered his office, Charlie broke out into fits of laughter – causing Luke to knit his eyebrows together.

"That was fucking hilarious," Charlie faked wiping a tear.

"What?" Luke asked, confused.

"You have the biggest crush on Sierra," Charlie said. Luke spun around instantly, looking bewildered.

He gasped, "I do not."

"Do too!" Charlie argued. "You were sweating like it was 100 degrees, Luke. Come on. I saw you hesitate in the elevator, like you were going to run out."

"I don't like Dr. Deaton," Luke firmly said.

"I'll remember that when you and her get married."

And she did.
