Charlotte Abbot Hemmings truly was on the edge of tears.

With her head in her hands and tears threatening to spill from her eyes inside of the library 5 minutes from her house and Theo next to her, frowning amongst his face.

"Love—"

"Theo, how am I supposed to do finals when I don't know shit going on?" Charlie said quickly. "AP classes are already kicking my ass. I can hardly focus— the guys are going out nearly every night, making a ruckus until 5:30 am– It's like hell."

Theo felt bad for the girl in front of him. He gently grabbed the hand from Charlie's face, which caused her bright, tear filled eyes to look at him. He softly said, "Come over tonight. You probably haven't eaten dinner, and my mom makes the best dinners."

"I couldn't possibly—"

"I'm not offering," He interrupted. "I'm insisting."

Charlie let a small smile enter her face and she nodded. "As long as your mom doesn't mind."

"Oh love," Theo laughed. "I've mentioned you so many times that my mom asks how you're doing when I get home from school. Don't you worry."

Theo took Charlie home after that and dropped her off. He told her that he'd be back around 5 that Saturday evening and to be ready.

"Welcome home," Ashton greeted Charlie. He looked tired.

"Hey," Charlie said quietly as she passed the kitchen and went up the staircase. She turned a corner and knocked on Luke's closed door.

She heard shuffling in the room and he opened the door with disheveled hair and his shirt halfway buttoned. Charlie instantly widened her eyes when she noticed the girl, half naked, on Luke's bed.

"O-Oh," Charlie sputtered out, backing up. "I'm sorry— I'll just go— ask—"

Charlie was already halfway down the stairs and on her way to Calum before Luke could say anything. Her stomach rumbled and she felt slightly sick.

Gross.

Her fist raised to knock on Calum's door. A few moments later, Calum answered the door – looking not like he'd nearly had sex. She exhaled a relieved breath.

"Hey sweetie," Calum smiled. "What's up?"

"I'm sorry for bothering you," Charlie began. "But I wanted to at least ask someone if It was okay if I could go to a friend's house for dinner tonight."

Calum blinked. "Of course it is. Why didn't you ask Luke?"

"Well," Charlie bit her lip. "He's sort of– busy?"

"What do you mean?" Calum raised his eyebrow.

"He's— well," Charlie played with the hem of her shirt. "He's upstairs, with a girl, um."

"Oh." Calum said quickly. "I see what you mean– Yes, you can go."
