Charlotte didn't speak to Luke at all.

Charlotte refused to. She wouldn't even look him in the eye. Calum did tell Luke of where she was going instead—because Charlotte sure wouldn't.

She changed into light blue jeans and a dark green hoodie. She had her black converse on and her hair cascading down her back.

Charlotte left the house without saying goodbye to anyone standing around and walked to Theo's house on foot as quickly as she could. Pushing the thoughts away from her experience at home, she began thinking of Theo's parents.

She was both nervous and excited to meet Theo's family. How would they react? Would they like her?

It wasn't long until she stood straight in front of Theo's house. Charlotte swallowed and walked to the front door and knocked.

A beautiful middle aged woman opened the door. She had a smile on her face—brown hair and the green eyes that Theo had, they looked scarily similar. "Hello?—Oh! Hello sweetheart, you must be Charlotte."

Charlie's cheeks heated up. "Yes, hello."

"Come in darling," She ushered Charlie inside. "It's so lovely to meet you, honey. I'm Daisy! Theo talks about you so often."

Charlotte took off her shoes and followed Daisy into the living room, where an older man stood—who looked exactly like Theo, only if he were 30 years older. He wore a suit and had shaggy hair and glasses on his nose.

"Darling," Daisy spoke. "This is Charlotte. She's the girl Theo always talks about."

"Oh!" The man spoke. "Hello, dear. It's nice to finally meet you. I'm Noah," He extended his hand for Charlotte.

Charlotte shook the man's hand firmly. "It's nice to meet you as well."

"Theo is upstairs, if you'd like to see him," Daisy told Charlie. "He's been waiting for ages."

Charlotte nodded happily and thanked Daisy before leaving the living room and going up the staircase. Her eyes scanned the hallways. A few photos of baby Theo, one with Theo's entire family— along with a girl who looked like Daisy, and a few years younger than Theo.

She found Theo's bedroom quite easily when he saw THEO'S ROOM in bolt letters. She snickered and knocked on the door.

"Who is it?"

Charlotte's lips curved up a little. "Your worst nightmare."

She heard a low chuckle from inside of the room and a second later, the door opened and revealed Theo. He was wearing gray sweatpants and a navy blue t-shirt.

"More like my best dream," He said, grabbing her hand and pulling her into his bedroom. He closed the door and gave her the biggest hug ever. "Hello, sweetheart."

Charlotte's heart fluttered as her cheek pressed against Theo's chest. "Hello, Theo."

Theo pulled away with the biggest smile you'd ever seen.

Charlotte's eyes explored the surprisingly clean bedroom. It was a beautiful room. A giant window that had a curved top that had the sun shining straight into it. His bed was made. A cat laid on the bed, in a little circle and it looked comfortable. He had multiple posters. Books on books covered his bookshelves along with photos of friends and family.

He had a desk that had a MacBook in front of the chair with a cork board behind it, notes and posts covered along it. A calendar next to it, with multiple things written on it.

"This is Muffin," Theo said, taking Charlotte from her trance.

Her eyes trailed to the cat sitting comfortably on the window sill. It was an orange cat with white spots around its body.

"Muffin?" Charlie laughed softly.

"Muffin was the best name 11 year old me could come up with," Theo chuckled. "She's a sweetheart."

"I have a dog named Strawberry," Charlie pet Muffin gently with Theo admiring her gently. "She's a golden retriever."

"Muffin and Strawberry." Theo hummed, "Both food related names. How unique of us."

"Truly," Charlie laughed softly.

"How was the walk here, honey?" Theo asked as he sat down on his bed, sitting with his legs crossed.

Leading Charlie to do the same thing, sitting across from him. "It was fine. We don't live far from each other, you know."

Theo nodded. "I could've picked you up."

"Don't waste gas on me." Charlie told him.

"Nothing is a waste when it comes to you, love." Theo winked. Charlotte's cheeks heated up as she felt Muffin crawl into her lap.

"Your parents are very sweet," Charlotte said, changing the subject. "Welcomed me with open arms. Your dad looks exactly like you, and so does your mom."

Theo laughed. "My sister looks a lot like my mom more than me," He said. "My dad and I are identical. Were they nice?"

"Yes, very."

Theo let out a relieved sigh and stood up. "Come here," He said, taking her hand. "Let me show you something."

Charlie grabbed his hand, hesitant as he pulled her to a small nook of his room. He opened the doors to a small closet, which caused Charlie's eyebrows to furrow. It wasn't until he pushed his jackets to the side that she saw it.

Charlotte hesitantly took his hand and let Theo pull her into a small corner of his bedroom where his closet was. He let go of Charlie's hand and pulled open the small closet—it wasn't until he pulled his clothes aside that she saw a small door.

"My Coraline door." Theo announced, opening the door. "Follow me in."

Theo got on his hands and knees and crawled into the small room, Charlotte following. The two of them entered the small room as he turned on the fairy lights.

"It's beautiful here," Charlie said in awe.

"It's where I do a lot of my thinking," Theo said, looking at Charlotte as her eyes roamed the room. "But there is a price to pay when coming here."

Charlie blinked and looked at Theo. "What is it?"

"When you enter my Coraline room, I have to take a photo of them." Theo said, pulling out his white polaroid camera. "May I?"

After they were called to dinner, there was now a polaroid on the wall of the "Coraline" room that was of a girl with light brown hair and bright eyes that had stars entangled within, labeled 'beautiful girl, 23 nov.'
