Charlotte woke up to Luke's hoodie next to her and instantly put it on, the gentle black hoodie covering her whole body.
She put on her shoes and exited the office to go to Ashton's office.
She knocked on the office door and Ashton said come in, and when she did — she saw Ashton himself, and 4 other people who looked like variants of Luke.
"Oh." Ashton said quickly and stood up. "Charlotte. I wasn't expecting you to wake up so early."
"It's 10 am." Charlotte said softly, glancing at the people around her. "I'm sorry. Am I interrupting something?"
"This is Charlotte?" The woman gasped. "That's Luke's daughter?"
"Yes, Liz, that is her." Ashton said, walking over to Charlotte. "But I need to speak to her before we introduce everyone. Give me 10 minutes alone."
The 4 people shuffled out quickly after Ashton told them too and Ashton sat her down on the couch.
"So," Ashton softly said. "Luke is doing well, but he hasn't woken up yet. Which is okay, because he will wake up. And Luke's parents and brothers arrived while you were sleeping. They had been asking to see you and I didn't want you to be overwhelmed — but, if you want to meet them, I can let them back in."
"Luke's parents?" Charlotte mumbled, wiping her eyes. "They are here?"
"Yes." Ashton nodded, "I wasn't planning on you waking up for a while. So I wasn't prepared for you to walk in, but—"
"I want to meet them." Charlotte quickly said.
Ashton nodded and got up, kissing Charlotte's forehead before going to the hallway to speak with Luke's family. Charlotte rubbed her hands together as she listened slightly.
After 5 minutes, Ashton walked in with Luke's family behind him. Charlotte stood up and smiled.
"Charlotte, this is Liz—" Ashton pointed to the lady who spoke before, a blonde woman. Liz smiled instantly. "His mom. This is Andy, his father," Ashton pointed to a man who looked like Luke in similar ways. "And then this is his older brothers, Ben and Jack."
Charlotte smiled. "It's so nice to meet you guys. I'm Charlotte."
Liz brought Charlotte into a big hug instantly, tears filling her eyes. "You are so gorgeous, darling. Luke has said such good things about you. I couldn't wait to meet you."
Charlotte instantly hugged Liz back, inhaling her wonderful scent. She closed her eyes. "Thank you, ma'am."
Liz pulled away and Andy smiled and gave Charlotte a hug too. "I'm Andy— It's really nice to meet you, Charlotte. Luke has talked about you so much. He's very proud of you."
Instant tears to Charlie's eyes.
"And we are his brothers." Ben said, pointing between him and Jack.
"Luke looks a lot like you guys, wow." Charlotte said, pulling away from the hug with Andy. She gently hugged the two brothers at the same time. "I'm Charlotte."
"It's nice to meet you, Charlotte," Jack said, rubbing her back gently.
After the introductions were done, Charlotte sat on the couch next to Ashton and Jack. Liz smiled. "What grade are you in, again?"
"I am a Sophomore." Charlotte said. "AP classes and I'm on the school's female baseball team."
"Really?" Jack said. "You must be super smart, damn."
Charlotte laughed. "I wouldn't say that."
"You must come to Australia soon." Liz gasped. "You would love it. Seeing where Luke grew up, where we live, our dog."
Charlotte's face lit up. "I would love to."
The rest of the day was pretty easy. Charlotte got breakfast with Liz, Andy, Jack, Ben and Ashton and then they came back to the hospital. Liz and her family went back to their hotel to shower and do the basics while Charlotte stayed at the hospital.
While Charlotte was sitting in Luke's office alone, watching netflix when Sierra walked in.
"Sierra," Charlotte gasped, standing up from the couch and rushing into her embrace quickly. "You're here."
"Hi angel," Sierra exhaled, rubbing Charlotte's back and holding her gently. "I missed you. How are you doing?"
"I'm okay," Charlotte pulled away. "How are you?"
"We're focusing on you, my love. Are you doing okay? Do you need to go home, shower, get some clothes?" Sierra asked, cupping Charlotte's face delicately.
"I'm okay, Sierra. I promise." Charlotte nodded. "I love you."
"I love you, more." Sierra smiled.
"Wait," Charlotte froze. "Did you come home from vacation just to be here? You had another week left."
"I didn't want to leave you alone here. I know you've got your uncles, but still."
Sierra and Charlotte sat down, put a blanket over their knees, and began watching netflix. Sierra held Charlotte the whole time.
