Time has flown by since last January.

Theodore and Charlotte were now dating. They began dating on the 14th of February after Theo surprised her with flowers and a new book at her doorstep, asking her to be his girlfriend.

Unfortunately, Charlotte had quit baseball and began cheerleading instead – saying she enjoyed it a little bit better.

Luke had grown the balls and asked Sierra on a date too, and they started dating in the middle of March. Charlotte was ecstatic.

Charlotte's birthday was on the 27th of February, and she turned 17 — which was so much fun. She didn't have a big party, she wasn't a party person, but she invited her family and friends.

She gotta see her dad, Mary and the twins. Mary was now pregnant with a boy, and they were gonna put Charlie as his middle name — which made Charlotte cry.

Theo found a private time to give Charlotte his present, and he had gotten her a necklace with a T and himself a necklace with a C, quoting a Taylor Swift song — "Call It What You Want." He also got her a cute ass promise ring she never takes off, to this day.

It was the beginning of the summer now, and they had officially gotten off school. Theo and Charlotte were laying on his bed, they both had books in front of them.

Charlotte's head was on his stomach, and Theo had a hand in her hair, gently massaging her head and holding his book with the other one. He glanced down at Charlotte, her eyes on her book.

"You know," He mumbled.

Charlotte glanced up at Theo.

"I remember what I thought when you walked into the office."

Charlotte's eyes went together. "You do?"

"Mhm," Theo hummed. "I looked at you. You had your hair down, and you were gorgeous. You are gorgeous. My cheeks actually flushed. I remember I walked you to the counselors office and tried to introduce myself but I was so awkward. I went home and told my sister."

"Have you had a crush on me that long?" Charlotte asked.

"Yes." Theo laughed. "How could I not? You're gorgeous."

"Whatever," Charlotte laughed, looking back at her book. Theo smiled softly, watching his girlfriend read.

He gently sat up and leaned over to kiss Charlotte softly. He mumbled. "I love you."

And all was well.

Everything was finally in place — Charlotte was where she was meant to be. In Theo's arms, adopted by a man; her dad.

She was happy.
